A quick Busan trip with friends after getting off work early. Today, we visited Smith's Farm, a great Italian restaurant in Haeundae, Busan. Ryeo had been here before and praised it so much that I was really looking forward to it.

Atmosphere and visitor information at this Haeundae Italian restaurant
The exterior has an exotic feel. There is a parking lot on the left side of the building. Just keep in mind that spaces may be limited during peak hours.

From outside, I thought it would be a small Italian restaurant, but it was much bigger than expected—what a surprise. The staff showed us to our seats, and everyone was so kind. There are lots of cute little props around too, so it almost feels as if you are traveling abroad.

It is even roomier toward the back, so I thought it would be great for a gathering in Busan too. More than anything, the gentle atmosphere makes it perfect for a Busan date. The kind of place I would want to bring a boyfriend to, if I had one?

Smith's Farm is well known enough that you may need to wait during peak hours, but it is easy to join the queue through the Catchtable app. There is also a coupon for one romaine salad per table in Catchtable, so be sure to download it and claim the perk.

Our table :) The atmosphere was so lovely. A small lamp in the corner gave off a soft glow. The bill arrived inside a cute paper package. Such a thoughtful little touch ♥
House-made pickles were served as the basic side dish. You can ask the staff for a refill.
Before the meal, we were served crouton soup. It was sweet pumpkin soup with pieces of bread, and it tasted genuinely wholesome rather than artificial—light and delicious.

Grilled romaine—we scraped up every bit of sauce
Grilled romaine ₩11,000
It is a light salad dish, but the sauce is crazy good. The vegetables themselves taste like vegetables, of course, but the sauce was so tasty that even I, a vegetable hater, scraped the plate clean.

The sauce has chili oil, bacon chips, special mayo, and green sauce. It went so well with the crisp vegetables that I think even friends who dislike vegetables would enjoy it. We were hard at work cleaning the plate with our friends >0< bb

Tender, chewy octopus steak

Smith's Farm, a popular Haeundae Italian restaurant, specializes in gnocchi and octopus steak. It was my first time trying rock octopus, and it was wonderfully chewy and so tender.

Sunny said that since she was getting to eat something delicious thanks to Ryeo and me, she would at least do this, and diligently cut it up for us ♥ The octopus had absorbed the sauce so well; every bite burst with seasoning. We dipped the vegetables in the sauce too, and before we knew it, they were gone.

Cream cheese gnocchi that looked like a little farm concept

At a Haeundae, Busan restaurant known for gnocchi, we could not possibly skip the gnocchi. First, the presentation totally surprised me. How should I put it? It really felt like we had come to visit a farm. The whole dish had a farm concept, which was so interesting. (Is it just me who sees it that way? haha)

The house-made potato gnocchi was so good. Its chewiness was almost like eating tteok (Korean rice cakes). There was plenty of cream sauce, so we could dip the gnocchi, vegetables, enoki mushrooms, and everything else in it. You could really tell they use wholesome ingredients.

Shrimp oil pasta with gambas-like flavor

This pasta was piled high with shrimp. Stir-fried with shrimp, roasted garlic, and smooth oil, it had a gambas-like flavor that kept me reaching for another bite. The pasta was cooked nicely too—twirl, and straight into the mouth :)

A staff member came over and asked whether we had washed the dishes ourselves >0< haha. That is how thoroughly we enjoyed the meal! They gave us banana brûlée for dessert, and it was completely my style. The banana was lightly baked with sugar on top, so it was warm while the melted sugar had a crisp bite. Anyone who likes dalgona (Korean honeycomb candy) would probably love it ♥
We enjoyed so many delicious dishes at Smith's Farm, a great Haeundae Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious, so it is already a well-known spot in Busan. I think it is a must-visit on a Busan trip, and I recommend it for a Busan date too.
