Hippy is a Jeonpo cream pie café on Dongseong-ro 25beon-gil in Busanjin, Busan. It's open daily from 11:00 to 22:00 with last order at 21:30, and there's no dedicated parking lot.

When I think 'where should I go for coffee in Jeonpo,' one place weirdly keeps coming to mind. That's Hippy — I've lost count of how many times I've been back here haha. I do love checking out new cafés too, but the pies here are so good I end up back at Hippy anyway,,, this time again I dropped by naturally for dessert. And this visit actually changed my Hippy pie ranking haha.

🌿 Inside Hippy: a bright, warm, woody café interior

Walking in, the whole interior gives off a bright yet warm, woody feeling. It's not one of those dim, overly moody 'aesthetic' cafés — more comfortable and cozy, which is why I like it every time I visit. This time I came around 2pm on a weekday, and there were so many people!!! I expected it to be quiet since it was a weekday, but the tables were surprisingly full — Hippy's popularity clearly hasn't faded.

There's an outdoor terrace, and going further inside the space keeps extending — there's also a kind of private annex seating for four, which looked like an enviable spot if you're visiting with a group.

How many pie flavours does Hippy have?

The biggest reason I keep coming back to this Jeonpo café is the pie!! Standing in front of the showcase, there are so many kinds it makes me deliberate every single time.

The current menu lists Mont Blanc chestnut cream pie ₩8,500, basil tomato cream pie ₩8,000, Chodang glutinous corn cream pie ₩8,000, lemon cake cream pie ₩7,500, Dubai pistachio cream pie ₩9,500, carrot cream cheese pie ₩7,500, Ferrero Rocher cream pie ₩8,000, banana Nutella cream pie ₩8,000, sweet potato cream pie ₩7,500, and more. Some pies change with the season, like fig or fresh strawberry, so it's fun to pick something different every visit.

🤎 Tiramisu cream pie, 8,000 won

Oh!!! This is so good haha. Out of all the pies I've had at Hippy so far, this one's now my number one haha. I used to love the Chodang glutinous corn cream pie so much that I kept craving corn every time I came, but after this tiramisu, my mind changed. The pastry crust outside is crisp and flaky while the cream inside is soft — the contrast in texture is amazing,,, and despite being called 'cream,' it's not greasy or heavy at all — just mildly sweet with a subtle coffee flavor. It's not overly sweet, so a bite of pie followed by a sip of coffee is genuinely so good!!!

Since the pastry is so flaky, it does crumble a little when you cut it with a fork, but honestly that crispy texture is exactly why I love Hippy's pies. If it's your first time visiting Hippy in Jeonpo, I genuinely recommend the tiramisu cream pie.

☕ Decaf iced americano, 5,500 won

Since the tiramisu pie was sweet and creamy, a clean americano in between bites really reset my palate — the pairing worked really well.

🧋 Milk tea, 6,000 won

Rather than a strong, spiced style, this was a mild, comfortably sweet milk tea that's easy to drink. If you like sweet drinks, this is an easy, no-pressure order.

I keep telling myself I'll try a different pie next time, but I have a feeling I'll order tiramisu again,,,❤️
