I'm a burger lover !!!! I heard Burgiz, a famous handmade burger place in Daejeon, just opened a new location in Daeheung-dong, so I went! The vibe was great and it was delicious, so let me introduce it right away 😊

Original taste? Better! Burgiz stays true to the basics while aiming for harmonious flavors with a variety of ingredients.

It's about a 3-minute walk from Sungsimdang, past the cathedral, across from the parking lot entrance of Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center. Highly recommend for a meal if you're visiting Daejeon !!!!

Newly opened and super clean, Burgiz feels like a pretty white-and-wood-toned café ,,🫰🏻 The interior is on the spacious side! Lots of tables and window seats too, so solo dining works. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of greenery and light, so the vibe is amazing✨

A sink! Burgers and fries are meant to be eaten with your hands, so having one right there in the store was so convenient 👍🏻

It's QR ordering, so you can order while sitting down!

If you order a drink they give you a cup of ice to use. Drinks are self-serve ~!

There are so many burger types !! Salads, fries, chicken snacks, buffalo wings, drinks, beer — a huge variety, so you can eat to your taste ~ After much deliberation, ,, 🍴 we ordered the Hangover + Chicago + Chili Fries + Milkshake

The milkshake we ordered to dip our fries in. You know a milkshake is a must at a burger place, right?!!🌟 It tastes like melted soft-serve, smooth and just sweet enough👏🏻

Chicago on top, Hangover below. The burgers came out fast — very fast-food-like!!!!! The visuals are insane!!!!!! So good🤤🤤🤤

Hangover — the texture of hash brown and soft-fried egg

Beef patty, American cheese, grilled onion, lettuce, tomato, bacon, hash brown, soft-fried egg, BBQ sauce

It really looks chunky .. genuinely packed with ingredients. My boyfriend actually ordered this, but the hash brown's crunch really came through, and the texture was fun. It's way tastier than expected, and the patty is full of smoky charred flavor !!!!!! The BBQ sauce went so well with the patty and hash brown that I kept stealing bites haha. Next time I visit, I'm ordering the Hangover myself

Chicago — mozzarella and chili sauce

Beef patty, grilled onion, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, grilled bell pepper, arugula, chili sauce

The Chicago is also delicious! It's more intense and indulgent-feeling than the Hangover. The cheese being mozzarella makes it a bit lighter, and it's loaded with pepperoni — just plain delicious, and the handmade patty speaks for itself. Plus the chili sauce is legit.. If you like bold flavors over greasy ones, highly recommend🌟

Chili Fries

You absolutely must get these!!! I was going to just order a set, but got curious about the chili haha, and it's soooo good ㅠㅠㅠㅠ❤️❤️❤️ Seems to be the same chili sauce that's on the Chicago. How did they come up with this combo,,🤤

Final verdict — will definitely be back

Burgiz has been winning over customers since it started in Tanbang-dong, Daejeon in 2017! I'd only heard about it and finally tried it for the first time ㅜㅜ now I get why it's so famous. I used to think burgers could only be so good haha, but this was way beyond my expectations and the portions are no joke… ‼️ I'm 100% coming back. No regrets. Burger lovers, run over right now!!!!!! (the owner was also so kind)
