Burgiz Daeheung near Sungsimdang’s main store

Burgiz Daeheung is a two-minute walk toward Daeheung-dong Cathedral from Sungsimdang’s main store in Daeheung-dong. It is across from the entrance to the Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center parking lot, just past the cathedral.

Burgiz is a concise expression of “burger is.” It began in Tanbang-dong, Daejeon, in 2017 and has been loved by many people ever since. “Original taste? Better!” is its slogan: while staying true to the basics, it aims for a harmonious range of ingredients and flavors. The buns have an appealing buttery flavor, and the 100% beef patties are blended from different cuts to suit Burgiz’s style. Some vegetables are bought directly from farms in an effort to provide fresher ingredients.

It had just opened, so it was super clean and the atmosphere was stylish ✨ Every table had a QR code, making it easy to order.

Burgiz signatures and set fries

They also brought us a menu, so we could look it over while ordering. Burgiz’s signature items are the Hangover, Godfather, Mushroom, and Pepperoni Fries!! There were so many burger and fry options—such good vibes…❣️

By the way, I asked whether the fries in a burger set could be changed. I was told that set fries and side fries come in different portions, so they cannot be swapped; only extra sauce can be added.

Hand-washing area and self-serve sauces

There was also a separate hand-washing area, which was so convenient!! They had plenty of sauces too—mustard, ketchup, hot sauce, and chili sauce—so it was nice to pick whichever suited your taste, haha. Even the thoughtful self-serve area made the visit more comfortable.

When you order a drink, they bring you a cup, and it was great that you could have as much of whichever drink you wanted, haha.

What we ordered, from Hangover to Chicago

• Hangover (₩10,800): A Burgiz signature combining a crisp hash brown, a soft-cooked egg, and spicy barbecue sauce.
• Mushroom (₩10,300): A Burgiz signature available only at Burgiz, with mozzarella mushroom fries and a richly meaty patty.
• Chicago (₩9,500): A burger pizza lovers will adore, with pepperoni, arugula, and roasted bell pepper.
• Chili Fries (₩7,200): An addictive combination of spicy chili and smooth ranch! Only at Burgiz ◡̎
• Sweet Potato Fries (₩7,300): With ice cream ❤︎ Only at Burgiz ◡̎

A day when the Hangover and chili fries were especially delicious

The handmade burgers were seriously legendary—so delicious!! They were huge, and the sauce and patties were works of art…🫶🏻 Burgiz is simply love. Everything was so good, but you absolutely have to try the signature Hangover. Highly, highly recommended!

Personally, I thought the chili fries were sooo good, but both friends I was with said the sweet potato fries-and-ice-cream combination was the best…hehe. (Hmph, I’m recommending the chili…❣️)
