Daejeon rental studio for a relaxed bread break: Sodium

In short

Sodium is a rental studio in Jung-gu, Daejeon. I took a break there with bread and coffee bought near Seongsimdang’s main store, enjoying the spacious room, beanbags, sofas, projector, and games. Sodium is a great pick when you want to relax more freely than at a café during a Daejeon trip.

Today’s review is of a rental studio I used during a trip to Daejeon! Since it was a day trip, I hadn’t booked accommodation and wondered where to rest in the middle of the day, so I ended up using this place, which is also close to Seongsimdang’s main store. This is my review of Sodium, which was more than just a space rental—the props, lighting, and overall atmosphere were so lovely, and I was really satisfied.

Sodium, a rental studio on Jungang-ro in Daejeon, is on Basement 1. Open the metal door like this and go down one floor to find it.

The very first thing I thought when I opened the door and stepped inside was, it’s seriously huge•• At a whopping 62 pyeong, it looked great for a group visit without anyone feeling cramped.

A large space alone can feel a little empty, but I loved Sodium’s stylish overall interior too. The furniture and props blended naturally in every area, so the mood was nice wherever you sat, and there were lots of photo-worthy spots.

It felt more like an atmospheric rental studio than a typical Daejeon space rental, so it seemed good not only for shoots and gatherings but also for spending a special time with friends or going on a unique Daejeon date!

From a Projector to Board Games

On top of that, it’s a space that has everything(?) You can watch OTT services like Netflix or YouTube on a 200-inch high-definition projector, and you can play instruments such as the electronic piano or sing, too!!

We even played some makeshift pool on the mini pool table(?) haha 😎 There were board games like Blue Marble, too, but we ran out of time••

Rest on Beanbags and Have Simple Snacks

What I personally liked was how well the space was set up for relaxing. There were several beanbags and soft sofas, and lounging around on them made it feel even more like a proper restful break!!

You can’t cook directly at Sodium, but simple snacks are allowed. We brought bread and coffee from Gotganjip and Seongsimdang, and it was nice to eat leisurely in such a spacious, comfortable space. Especially if several people are visiting Daejeon together, being able to spend time a little more freely and comfortably than at a café was another advantage.

An atmospheric yet comfortable space where I could get a genuinely good rest, even if only for a short while! If you’re looking for a Daejeon space rental, somewhere to comfortably eat bread and rest after visiting Seongsimdang, or an atmospheric rental studio in Daejeon, I’d recommend Sodium.
