Jeju sea walking with fish feeding: Underwater Play

Underwater Play Bada Sea Walking is a sea-walking activity in Gimnyeong, Jeju. After a safety video, I put on a helmet, fed fish, and took photos during a 10–15 minute experience that became a completely different kind of Jeju memory from cafés and restaurants. Verdict: a must for anyone wanting to meet fish up close in eastern Jeju!

Jeju Korean restaurant with braised cutlassfish: Jongdal Sudatteul

Jongdal Sudatteul is a Korean restaurant in Gujwa-eup, Jeju, serving a 13-dish Jeju set meal with braised and grilled cutlassfish. I switched the mackerel braise to cutlassfish for 4,000 won per person and ate two bowls of rice with the self-serve sides, haha. A hearty choice for cutlassfish and a generous Korean set meal.

Seogwipo café with ocean-view workspace: Forest Jeongbang

Forest Jeongbang is a café near Jeongbang Waterfall in Seogwipo, Jeju, with ocean and green views. After scuba open-water training, I worked on my laptop, took the final exam, and had a Jeongbang Waterfall Latte and brown-cheese croffle. Forest Jeongbang was great for both taking in the view and working quietly.

Aewol photo studio for hackberry tree snaps: Eoeum-ri Photo Studio

Eoeum-ri Photo Studio is a snap photography studio in Aewol, Jeju, converted from a traditional stone warehouse. I photographed along rain-cleared stone walls and beneath a hackberry tree, then had 20 minutes for self-shooting with vintage props indoors. For photographs that hold Jeju’s natural texture, I recommend the hackberry tree snap.
