Nowon Seoul coffee shop for coconut coffee: Jeong Ji-young

I spotted Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters (정지영커피로스터즈) on B1 while shopping at Lotte Department Store Nowon.★ It’s known as a roastery café representing Haenggung-dong in Suwon, so how could I not try it now that it’s in Nowon too..! And when I heard its signature coconut coffee had sold over 1.1 million cups cumulatively, I ordered it with an Americano. Right. Away. hahaha♥

When I visited, they were also running a drink-discount event to celebrate the Nowon branch opening. It ran from September 1 through September 30, 2026!

Show a receipt or payment record from the B1 food court at Lotte Department Store Nowon and you can get 20% off every drink. If you’re planning to eat at the food court, don’t toss that receipt—make sure to keep it!!

There were also 500 ml cold brews displayed on one side for easy drinking at home or the office. From September 4 through September 23, 2026, they were running a buy-two-get-one-free deal on cold brew. It was for Nowon branch customers, so if you normally enjoy cold brew, this seems like a pretty good time to stock up hahaha

Why I ordered the million-selling coconut coffee

The thing that caught my eye most was the poster calling the signature coconut coffee a “cumulative 1.11 million cups sold.” It’s Jeong Ji-young Coffee’s patented flagship drink, apparently!?!? ((Eek)) Coconut milk is topped with espresso and creamy shaken cream, and it looked so delicious from the start..! ♥♥ It had sold this many, yet it was my first time trying it... so of course I wanted a taste? hahaha

The drink menu had everything from basic coffees like Americanos and lattes to signature drinks. Prices were in the ₩5,000–₩6,000 range!! We ordered Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters’ signature coconut coffee and an Americanoㅎ One sweet, nutty signature drink and one Americano for a clean taste of the beans—the combination was just perfect!

After ordering, the barista was working hard at the espresso machine!! Maybe because it’s coffee famous in Haenggung-dong... people of all ages were lining up to get takeaway coffee here hahaha

The line kept growing behind us, so I got even more excited for the taste!! So happy while waiting for coffee—V sign hahaha Since it’s takeaway, you can collect your drinks as soon as they’re ready and head straight back to shopping!!

Americano and coconut coffee taste

Our two drinks finally arrived!! The Americano had a clean coffee aroma and an easy-to-drink, unfussy flavor!!

Unlike Mega Coffee, it wasn’t watery coffee...!!! It was genuinely delicious, nutty coffee, so I feel like this is where I’ll come for coffee in Nowon from now on - ♥ Taking sips between the sweet coconut coffee made the balance work so well too haha

The coconut coffee had a creamy layer on top, with coffee and coconut milk below, so it looked different from a typical café latte from the get-go!!

Take off the cup sleeve and you can see the layers even better, right~? I’d tried a coconut frappé before, but coconut coffee was a first for me too hahaha

After giving it a shake-shake and taking a sip, I could taste the soft cream, nutty coconut flavor, and espresso’s pleasant bitterness together!! It was sweet, but the coffee flavor wasn’t completely buried, and the coconut aroma didn’t stand out too strongly either, so the balance was much better than I expected—so good!!! ★★★★★ It wasn’t just sweet; the coffee’s bitterness held the finish together, so I could see why it had sold 1.11 million cups!!

Coffee beans and specialty coffee products for sale too

They also sold coffee beans and specialty-coffee products on one side of the shop. If you liked the coffee you had in-store, you could buy beans to enjoy at home, and they’d make a nice gift for a coffee lover too! Hehe, next time I’m going to buy some beans and brew them at home~?~?

If you want a proper coffee after shopping or eating at Lotte Department Store, you absolutely.ㅎㅎ must come to Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters at Lotte Department Store Nowon!! Remember that, and remember it again.
