During my trip to Gyeongju, I visited Midam Kitchen (미담키친) on Hwangridan-gil with my baby. We shared pasta, pizza, and pork cutlet; I was pleased with the food, and I was glad they had a baby chair.

What is the atmosphere like in this renovated-house restaurant?
Midam Kitchen is in a converted house, so it felt warm from the entrance onward.

There was landscaping with green plants by the entrance. It suited the distinctive feel of the house and made the space feel comfortable; I thought it would be nice for a date, too.

The open kitchen was visible even from outside, so I could see food being prepared. From what I saw, the whole place was kept clean. The owner was also kind to us on our first visit, which made us feel comfortable staying there.

Was it suitable for a meal with a child?
Inside, there were private rooms and seats with large windows. It had an easygoing atmosphere for a quiet meal as a couple or for visiting with family or friends.

As someone visiting with a baby, I especially appreciated that a baby chair was available. It was a welcome detail because it is something I look for when choosing restaurants while traveling with a child.

How were the pasta, pizza, and pork cutlet?
We ordered basil cream pasta, pepperoni pizza, and pork loin cutlet and shared them.

The basil cream pasta had a soft cream sauce with a basil aroma, and it did not feel too rich for my taste. The pepperoni pizza brought together the salty flavor of pepperoni, chewy cheese, and a little spice.
The pork loin cutlet was crisp outside and moist inside. It felt so tender that I wondered whether it was really pork loin, and I enjoyed all three dishes.
The entrance landscaping, comfortable space, and kind service stayed with me. With the baby chair and the food we ordered that day also being satisfying, I wanted to visit again on my next trip to Gyeongju.
