Let me introduce Classicdang, a dog-friendly restaurant in Yeonnam-dong. Decorated with a European-style atmosphere, it is somewhere I’d recommend for a Yeonnam-dong date or a wedding-invitation gathering. There is a range of Italian dishes including pasta, pizza, and lasagna, and since dogs are welcome indoors, I stopped by for lunch with my pup :)

A European-style outdoor terrace and cozy interior
Outdoor terrace

At the entrance, there is an outdoor terrace with a European-inspired feel. On a nice day like these, it looked perfect for dining in the cool breeze. There were plenty of outdoor tables, and the lovely atmosphere made it a great spot for pretty photos too.
Indoor atmosphere

The interior was compact, with soft lighting that made the whole space feel warm and cozy. There were tables for two through six people, so it looked suitable for a Yeonnam-dong date or a wedding-invitation gathering. It also has an open kitchen, so you can watch the food being prepared :)
Dining indoors or outdoors with your dog

Dogs are welcome not only on the outdoor terrace but indoors too, so you can dine with your pet regardless of the weather. Since it was cool out, Zero, Baekgu, and I ate on the outdoor terrace!
Please note that you must bring your pet’s vaccination certificate when visiting with a dog :)
The shrimp aglio e olio and carbonara we ordered

Classicdang offers a variety of meal options, from pasta, pizza, lasagna, risotto, and steak to drinks and alcoholic beverages. It looked like a nice place to visit for brunch during the day, or for dinner with wine in the evening.

- Original Carbonara ₩16,000
- Shrimp Aglio e Olio ₩18,000
- Zero Coke ₩3,000

Aglio e olio with plump shrimp
The shrimp aglio e olio came with plenty of large shrimp. With arugula and whole garlic cloves too, it had a gentle garlic aroma, and the bouncy shrimp paired nicely with the clean, simple flavor of the aglio e olio.

The shrimp bodies had already been peeled, which made them easy to eat. The noodles had a pleasantly springy texture and the portion was generous too, so sharing the two dishes between us made for a satisfying meal.
Rich original carbonara without heavy cream

Unlike the usual cream-sauce carbonara, this dish is made in the original style with egg yolk and cheese. The savory richness of the yolk and cheese really came through, while salty bacon and pepper made it easy to enjoy without feeling overwhelming.

The sauce was lighter than a heavy-cream pasta but still full of savory richness, so if you love authentic-style carbonara, you should definitely try it!
