Suwon course dining with pasta and sous vide: Gyodong Public Parking Lot
In short
Gyodong Public Parking Lot is a casual course-dining restaurant in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. My mother and I had the ₩45,000 basic course, with tarts, two pastas, sous vide chicken, and Earl Grey ice cream. Verdict: a great-value date restaurant for two at ₩90,000.

Visiting Gyodong Public Parking Lot in Suwon Haenggung-dong with my mother
A few days ago, I visited Gyodong Public Parking Lot, a casual dining spot said to be great for dates in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, with my mom for a little date. I treated Mom to the basic course, haha. Here begins my post on HADO, which is apparently popular for Suwon dates and blind dates.

Do you need a reservation at Gyodong Public Parking Lot?
I booked ahead through Naver Reservation. Since it is a casual dining restaurant, an advance reservation is essential! While we were eating, some walk-in guests came by and were turned away at the entrance...

Modern black-and-white interior
When you open the door and enter, there is a space on the left decorated with empty wine bottles! Go past the partition wall and you reach the main dining area.

The clean, modern black-and-white interior makes it seem like such a lovely place for an anniversary or date. The atmosphere is SO good!! There are bar seats and tables, so just choose whichever seat feels comfortable.

They are also running a receipt-review event and offer rooibos apple-lemon tea to take out.

We sat at a table for two that day. Once you sit down, the tableware is neatly set!

There is a turntable, but I think they use it as a speaker rather than for LPs...!!! Blankets are available too. So thoughtful~!!

Basic-course price and lineup at Gyodong Public Parking Lot
Gyodong Public Parking Lot has two options: the basic course and the summer course! The summer course is a bit more expensiveㅠ We had the basic course (₩45,000). The standard steak is sous vide chicken breast, and switching to salchisal (chuck flap tail) costs an extra ₩21,000!

Pea tart and sweet shrimp apple tart
The tarts came first: a pea tart and a sweet shrimp apple tart!! We were advised to eat the pea tart first, then eat both in one bite. The pea tart had pea purée, while the sweet shrimp apple tart combined marinated sweet shrimp and apple over potato purée! Both were seriously tasty.

The kitchen hard at work, haha.

Minari yuzu bisque pasta and squid-ink pasta
Next came minari (Korean water celery) yuzu bisque pasta and squid-ink pasta. The minari yuzu bisque pasta is the standard offering, and you can change the pasta type to suit your preference. So we changed one to the squid-ink pasta!

The minari yuzu bisque pasta had minari pesto and yuzu sauce. They told us not to mix it completely, but to put the pesto on the noodles as we ate. Perhaps because of the yuzu sauce, it was a little sweet as well as creamy, haha.

Next was the squid-ink pasta. While the bisque had a slight sweetness, the squid ink was spicy and salty!! The pairing of the two pastas was absolutely the best. The ink-coated noodles came with what seemed like butter-seared cuttlefish. Your mouth does get black around the edges after eating it...!! But it was my number-one pick. This place really does pasta well...❤️

Sous vide chicken breast steak
After the pasta, the sous vide chicken breast steak arrived. It was unlike the texture of ordinary chicken breast. Made with the sous vide method, slowly cooked at a low temperature, it was moist and tender all the way through. But as someone who likes dry chicken breast, the chicken-breast-and-sous-vide combination felt so unfamiliar that it was still a trendy new-generation food I found hard to get behind. Still, the carrot purée and quinoa combination was excellent too! The crisp quinoa gave it a fresh feel as well.

Finishing with Earl Grey ice cream
The Earl Grey ice cream came last, wrapping up the course. My mother is not really someone who likes sweet things, but she enjoyed the ice cream so much. It had caramel sauce, and I had no idea caramel and Earl Grey went so well together, haha. It was not overly sweet, and it came with a whole-wheat cookie too, so we got that nice crunch as well.

₩90,000 for two: final thoughts on Haenggung-dong date dining
After finishing the course and paying, they even gave us single-use mouthwash. I was touched by that thoughtful consideration right to the very end. At ₩90,000 for two, it feels like excellent value for a dining restaurant, haha. If I return, I think I will try the salchisal option!! If you are wondering where to go for a date in Haenggung-dong, I recommend this restaurant for its great atmosphere and delicious food, haha.
