If you're looking for a café in Jeju City where you can enjoy good coffee and dessert together, I want to recommend Gluttony Coffee ☕️ Honestly, this is a café I've stopped by often whenever I happened to be passing through the Gudam-dong area. This time, I visited again as a date stop after running errands near Jeju Sports Complex :) On top of that, this is an Ido 2-dong café that's won the Blue Ribbon Survey award multiple years in a row — not just the coffee but the cakes, financiers, and other desserts are delicious too, which is why it's one of the Jeju City cafés I keep coming back to 🤎

An Ido 2-dong café in Jeju City that's easy to park near

When we go to Gluttony Coffee, we usually park along the roadside near the café, as always. There are several paid and free public parking lots nearby, and there's especially a large public parking lot right across from the shop, so parking is relatively convenient for a café in the city center. Parking is always a bit of a worry when heading to a Jeju City café, but Gluttony Coffee doesn't give you much of that burden — a definite plus!

A clean, modern space in white tones

Step inside Gluttony Coffee and the first thing that catches your eye is the clean interior, centered around white tones overall. Rather than an elaborately decorated space, it's a café with a trendy sensibility that comes through in its clutter-free, well-organized design and simple mood.

The overall space feels bright and clean, but the details are arranged with such polish that the modern atmosphere doesn't get old even after looking at it for a while.

A display case like a mini dessert showroom

You can really feel Gluttony's own sense of style in the way they present coffee and desserts, too. The spot that always catches our eye whenever we come is the dessert display case! From cakes to levain cookies to financiers, a variety of desserts are arranged so appetizingly and stylishly it's like a little dessert showroom — it's fun just to look at each one. The desserts themselves are so pretty visually that they blend right in with the clean white-toned space.

Overall, it really captures the mood of the modern, stylish cafés you find in Jeju City these days, without ever feeling too cold or overwhelming, so it was comfortable to settle in and enjoy a cup of coffee and dessert :) The coffee menu also has plenty of options, from the basics to Gluttony's own range of signature coffees, so it's fun to pick a new menu item to try each time we visit ☺️

Four items in all! Bani's favorite drink at Gluttony Coffee is, without question, the Gluttony latte. The soft, nutty milk flavor you get from this latte is so good that it's the drink we naturally reach for every time we come. The coffee flavor blends really well with the nuttiness of the milk, so if you like a nutty style of latte, I'd recommend it.

Quokka also likes the drip coffee here, but this time wanted ice cream and ordered the affogato. Gluttony Coffee's affogato comes with a generous scoop of ice cream and even nuts on top, giving it a great nutty flavor and texture, apparently. It was a good choice when you want to enjoy sweet ice cream together with bitter coffee.

The chocolate cake here is genuinely delicious!

The salted caramel financier is something we order often whenever we come to Gluttony — this place could honestly be called a financier specialist! The outside is baked to a mouthwatering finish, and the sweet-and-salty combo of the buttery flavor and salted caramel goes really well with coffee.

And the Oreo chocolate cake, which we ordered for the first time this visit, was much more delicious than we expected. Wow, the chocolate cake here is genuinely delicious too…! 🍫🤎 The chocolate layer on top of the cake is especially thick and fudgy, with the point being that you can really taste a rich, deep chocolate flavor. It's not just a sweet chocolate cake — it has a clearly fudgy, intense chocolate character, so if you like chocolate desserts, I'd definitely recommend trying it. We used to visit mainly for the latte, but after this, it's officially been added to our list as a cake spot too haha
