Today I visited Selecto Coffee, near Sinnonhyeon Station.
Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon: a 24-hour bakery café by Sinnonhyeon Station
Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch is a 24-hour bakery café at 31 Gangnam-daero 79-gil, 1st floor, Seocho-gu, Seoul. I visited to cleanse my palate after eating dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) jeon near Sinnonhyeon Station.
24-hour cafés are rare these days, and this one even has outdoor seating — imagine finding a place like this in Gangnam. I thought it was just an independent café, but it seems to be a chain.
I visited in August, so they were still selling bingsu (shaved ice dessert). The green tea chocolate bingsu looked delicious too.
You can order right away at the kiosk when you walk in, but I went to the counter instead. They also run a Naver receipt review event, so give that a try.
The counter is visible as soon as you walk in.
They have slice cakes and macarons — I'm planning to try those next time.

Geisha or Mocha? Choosing your beans for an iced americano
At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch, you can pick the beans yourself. I ordered an iced americano (Mocha/Geisha) at ₩7,600 and a pumpkin sandwich at ₩7,000.
Not many places let you choose from this many bean options. I love cafés that keep several beans on hand, so I got to enjoy a variety.

I was too full to eat the sandwich right away, so I packed it to eat at home.
There were also desserts displayed as models.
They still had watermelon juice and various other summer season drinks.
I skipped the signature drinks today, saving them for when I'm a little less full!
How the sandwich fridge and dessert corner work
There's a separate fridge just for the sandwiches to keep them fresh. It looks like if there's none on display, they'll make one fresh for you.
It seems like a good number of desserts had already sold out by the time I got there.
In the center of the café, you can grab desserts yourself and bring them to the counter to pay. There are plenty of cookies too, so it might be worth stopping by just to pack some to go.
Unstaffed late-night service and the printing area
It seems like when there's no staff around, the café runs unmanned. I looked around for a bit, and when I turned back the counter was closed up haha.
Next to it is a spot where you can print documents. But when I visited, it looked broken 😭 If you have something urgent to print, it might be worth calling ahead before you come.

2-person study seats for laptop work or a date
Behind the counter, there's seating for about two people at each table.
It has that reading-room kind of vibe, doesn't it? You don't have to worry about judgment if you're studying with your laptop out. There are about six tables like this. Honestly, instead of doing solo work, this side seems just as good for a couple wanting a bit of private, cozy time together 😊
How the Geisha iced and Mocha hot americanos tasted
My coffee and sandwich arrived. I ordered the hot americano with Mocha beans. Since Geisha has a bit of acidity, I figured it'd pair better iced, and it was spot on.
It looked really fresh and delicious.
Next to me was group seating for 6 or more, but a couple had taken it over haha.
As I was leisurely finishing up and putting my tray away, I noticed Wi-Fi and CCTV signs installed nearby.
Is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon worth a late-night stop?
Selecto Sinnonhyeon Branch has a very high hygiene rating. The restroom seems to get cleaned an extra time in the afternoon too — I went in right after cleaning and it was spotless.
If you're looking for a place that's open 24 hours, runs unmanned at night with print access still available, lets you bring your laptop and work without feeling self-conscious, and has good coffee at reasonable prices, I'd recommend Selecto.
