On my way to Yangju, I stopped by Pine Terrace, a large café in Wondang, Goyang that's great to visit with kids. Plenty of delicious, varied bread, of course!! There's also a mini zoo in the backyard, so it feels like you're taking the kids out to a little outing — a Goyang bakery café worth the detour.

Pine Terrace 📍263 Hoguk-ro 1245beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do ⏱️Hours 9:00–21:00 / Last order 20:40 ✔️Great with kids thanks to the mini zoo 🚗Easy to visit with a large parking lot
The parking lot seemed shared with the water park next door, so the spaces were really wide and roomy~ Given the location, you basically have to drive here, and it was easy and spacious to park in. Good good 👍

You can't just walk past the mini zoo in the backyard on your way in from the parking lot with kids!! There were so many birds — gorgeous ornamental chickens, peacocks, rabbits, parrots and more. It's easy to take a quick look, so families with kids will love this Wondang bakery café even more.
Inside Pine Terrace: an open second floor and a relaxed first floor

Walking into the first floor, the high ceilings, clean interior, and the smell of delicious bread filling the air made me happy — that's Goyang bakery café 'Pine Terrace.'

The highlight of Pine Terrace is that you can enjoy great weather from the outdoor terrace space on the second floor!! The second floor combines both outdoor and indoor space. On the day I visited it was cloudy with occasional rain, so the roof and doors were all closed~ If you go on a nice day, definitely check out the second floor of Pine Terrace ^^
On one side of the first floor there's a self-service zone with water, forks, knives, etc. — grab what you need for your bakery items there! Especially if you're heading up to the second floor, be sure to grab everything beforehand ☺️
What bread does the Pine Terrace baker make?

Since I visited in the morning, they were running a 50% discount on day-old bread~~ Honestly, as someone who loves trying all kinds of bread, this kind of previous-day discount bread is pretty satisfying too. Haha.

A Goyang bakery café fully stocked with delicious bread from the morning~~~ ♥️ The display case opens with a button, so it was nice being able to keep the bread a bit more sanitary.

There were more varieties of bread than I expected, all sizeable, and you could see they hadn't skimped on the cream or fillings inside~~ Haha, they all looked so good I had trouble deciding.. haha

In the fridge section, delicious cheesecakes, fresh fruit cakes, choux pastries

The eye-catching brunch menu — bagel sandwiches and sandwiches packed with fresh vegetables — really grabbed my attention. If you're not going for lunch, I thought it'd be nice to visit for brunch with coffee instead!

For drinks there was everything from basic coffee to tea, ades and more, but what caught my eye was the fruit juice! With the cup packed full of fresh fruits and vegetables, I thought one glass of that juice could cover your daily vitamins and health needs. Haha.
- Iced Americano ₩5,500
- Orange carrot juice ₩8,500
- Salt bread ₩4,000
- Fresh cream fruit cake ₩8,000

After much deliberation, here's the delicious bread and cake I picked up with my coffee~ If you're eating at the good restaurants around Wondang, Goyang, definitely stop by for a coffee and some tasty bread!

How do the salt bread and fruit cream cake taste?
The orange carrot juice, great to enjoy with kids, apparently uses unrefined sugar and agave syrup 👍 If you're thinking about drinks for kids, I'd recommend it — though it's definitely a healthy taste, so kids used to more worldly flavors might drink a bit less of it 🤣
The salt bread, full of buttery aroma and nice and crispy! Personally I prefer salt bread with a bit of chew on the outside rather than the super soft kind, and this hit exactly my taste! Not as hard as a baguette, but not too fluffy either — good good 👍 Plain but salty, it was my kid's favorite bread.
I couldn't resist grabbing the fresh fruit cake just from the visuals! It was really layered thick with fruit, feeling like there was more cream and fresh fruit than cake sponge — highly recommend for anyone who loves fruit!!!! My kid picked out only the melon pieces and demolished this slice of cake in no time. ☺️
