Jeonju dessert café with sweet potato financiers: Ppajak Financier Bar

Passing through Jinbuk-dong, I thought of Ppajak Financier Bar, which I'd enjoyed before, so I paid it another visit after a while. Since I'd already tried it once and loved it, I found myself thinking about which flavor to pick this time even before walking in haha.

Finding Ppajak Financier Bar in Jeonju, and where to park

It's located near the Bukjeonju Tax Office, and I parked in the alley behind the shop. The sign's vivid orange color caught my eye right away — it reminded me of Hermès, which made it even more memorable.

The shop is on the small side, but there are two-person tables and bar-style seats where you can enjoy dessert and drinks.

It's a nice spot to grab a quick dessert and drink in-store, and the vibe makes it easy to just pack up and go too. Quite a few people were there just for takeout orders, and today I was there to pack some up myself~!!!

There are so many financier flavors that on your first visit you'll probably spend a while deciding which one to pick. I personally prefer trying a bunch of different flavors one at a time rather than grabbing several of the same one, and Ppajak has plenty of variety so it's fun to pick and choose based on your mood. If it's your first time, I'd recommend mixing popular flavors with ones you're curious about!!!

I visited around 1pm on a Wednesday, and every flavor was still evenly stocked, so I could take my time browsing and choosing. In the evening popular flavors might sell out early, so if there's a specific one you're set on, it's worth visiting with a bit of a time buffer~ Ppajak also sells egg tarts and salt bread alongside the financiers, so there's plenty of dessert variety to browse.

They also sell drinks, so if you'd like to pair your dessert with a beverage, keep that in mind when ordering.

They looked so delicious I couldn't resist and tried one the moment I got in the car — and yep, still delicious. My favorite was the sweet potato candy financier~!! It's sweet enough for a good sugar boost, and you could really feel the crisp-outside, moist-inside texture of the financier. Loved it haha.
