Sokcho seafood takeaway with prepared crab legs and fried rice
In short
Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot is a seafood takeaway shop inside Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market in Sokcho, Gangwon. I took away a two-red-snow-crab lunchbox, extra fried rice, and a flying-fish-roe marinated-crab fried-rice set for ₩35,000; it was enough for two, though parking was difficult.

While looking around Jungang Market during my Sokcho trip, I picked up a red snow crab lunchbox from Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot (예스수산) to eat at our accommodation. We shared two red snow crabs with fried rice, and the crab had already been prepared, so we did not need to bring any tools.

Where is Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot, and how was parking?
Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot is in Unit 124 on the first floor of Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market. Its blue sign near the market's main entrance made it easy to find.

Parking was disappointing. We tried to use the Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market public parking lot, but it was too crowded to park. While my companion drove around nearby, I got out and went to order; in the end, we used another paid parking lot.
How long did I wait for a takeaway order?
There were three groups ahead of me when I arrived, so I waited before ordering. As it is a takeaway-focused shop, I did not wait long after ordering, and there was somewhere to sit while waiting, so it was not too inconvenient. The shop was not large, but the tanks and preparation and packing area were neatly organized.

I could look at the menu and order in person, and there was a notice saying that delivery and reservations were also available. The original post lists the hours as 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with regular closure every Tuesday.
How much were the red snow crab lunchbox and fried rice?
The red snow crab lunchboxes displayed in front of the counter started at ₩25,000. Fried rice served in a crab shell could be added for ₩2,000 each.

- Two-red-snow-crab lunchbox: ₩25,000
- One extra fried rice: ₩2,000
- Flying-fish-roe marinated-crab fried-rice set: ₩8,000
- Total order: ₩35,000
Since I wanted to mix the rice from the separately ordered fried-rice set into the remaining crab shells, I added just one crab-shell fried rice.

Was it easy to take back to our accommodation?
The extra fried rice was cooked on the spot and placed in a crab shell. I was concerned about the packaging because we had to travel for about three to four hours to our accommodation, but it was packed in an insulated bag. There was no smell while we carried it in the car.

It came with disposable gloves for eating, and the red snow crab legs had already been prepared. We could eat them at our accommodation without separate tools.

How did the red snow crab and fried rice taste?
I could gently bend and pull the prepared red snow crab legs, and the meat came right out.

The claw sections were full of meat, too. The red snow crab meat was savory and slightly sweet, without a strong fishy taste.

The flying-fish-roe marinated-crab fried-rice set included fried rice, stir-fried kimchi, and salted fermented squid. I put the fried rice into the remaining red snow crab shells and mixed it together.

I could taste the popping texture of the flying fish roe and the nutty flavor of the marinated crab.

Adding a little stir-fried kimchi and salted fermented squid made it saltier. With the fried rice and side dishes, rather than the red snow crab alone, it worked well as a meal.

Was the red snow crab lunchbox and fried rice enough for two?
At first, I wondered whether a lunchbox would be too little. In reality, the two red snow crabs, extra fried rice, and fried-rice set together were enough for the two of us to share.

That day, after looking around the market, we took away a red snow crab lunchbox and sashimi to eat at our accommodation. The prepared legs and fried rice made the red snow crab lunchbox from Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot easy to share there. However, the crowded parking lot was the biggest inconvenience when visiting by car.
