Haeundae Dalmaji-gil restaurant with kids' tableware: Bueokgan

When you're looking for a nice-atmosphere Western restaurant in Haeundae, you naturally end up drifting toward Dalmaji-gil — thanks to the ocean and the laid-back vibe of that road, there are plenty of spots great not just for dates but for family gatherings and get-togethers with friends. This time I visited Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, up on Dalmaji-gil, and both the atmosphere and the food were so satisfying that I have to give it a proper writeup!

Where is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, and where do you park?

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is on the 2nd floor at 200 Dalmaji-gil 117beon-na-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, up on Dalmaji-gil. You can get there from Jangsan Station, but it's also easy to reach by car, and having a building parking lot made it convenient to visit with our own vehicle.

Especially for a get-together like this one with several people, we often end up driving rather than taking public transit, so having parking available was a plus. The lot is on the narrow side though, so drive in carefully!

Inside Bueokgan: interior and seating

The moment we walked in, my first thought was: this atmosphere is really nice!!! The overall interior is clean but upscale, giving it a slightly more special feel than your average casual restaurant.

The soft lighting blended well with the stylish furniture, keeping the whole mood comfortable throughout the meal. The ceilings are fairly high and the seating is spaced generously, so it felt good for a couple's date but also seemed to work well for a bigger group. There were tables for four as well as spots that could fit even more people, so it felt like a space well suited to a slightly special meal — a friends' gathering, a family dinner, a birthday celebration.

So if you're planning to visit and have a particular seat in mind, I'd recommend reserving ahead. It doesn't feel like a place you just go to eat — more like a spot to relax and enjoy a meal in a pretty space, so it seems well suited for dates, anniversaries, and also for anyone looking for a nice-atmosphere group meeting spot!!

Here's the menu at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch. This isn't just a pasta place — you can enjoy a wide range of Western dishes, from soup and salad to risotto, pasta, pizza, and steak. That's a plus when you're visiting with several people, since everyone can pick something different. Rather than just ordering one pasta and one pizza, adding side dishes like soup or salad makes it easy to share a bit of everything.

This time our family went with

• And a honey pie from the review event, too

and had a proper feast.

Cutlery laid out one set per person! Even the cutlery looked so classy :) And since we came with our kid, I loved that they gave us baby tableware too!

The food came out faster than I expected :) And the presentation, wow...

Sweet pumpkin soup, warm and smooth

We ordered pumpkin soup to start the meal. The soup had an appetizing golden color and a smooth, sweetish taste that was great for whetting the appetite. It was sweeter than I expected, which surprised me, but overall it was mild enough that it seemed like an easy dish to enjoy with kids as well as adults. Having a soup before diving into something richer like pasta or pizza made the meal feel more relaxed from the start.

Carbonara: thick, creamy and nutty

Coming to a Western restaurant, you've gotta order pasta, right?? My carbonara came topped with a poached egg.

The creamy sauce coated the noodles well, so the first bite was smooth and savory. Carbonara can end up feeling too heavy if the sauce overwhelms the noodles, but the balance here was good, so it was easy to eat without feeling weighed down. Twirl it onto your fork and take a bite — that smooth sauce clinging to the noodles! Pasta at a nice-atmosphere Western restaurant really does hit different from something you'd whip up quickly at home, haha.

Arugula prosciutto pizza

Next up was the arugula prosciutto pizza. Honestly, this was the dish that caught my eye the most visually that day! With arugula and prosciutto piled on the dough, it looked both hearty and beautifully colorful.

The prosciutto's salty flavor paired well with the fragrant, slightly bitter arugula, and combined with the light, clean pizza dough and cheese, it was the kind of pizza where you keep reaching for one more slice. Pizza is also a great dish for sharing when you're out with a group. So if you're visiting with friends or family, I'd recommend ordering it alongside pasta and sharing it around.

Honey pie from the review event

And last but not least, the honey pie we got through the review event! Getting to finish the meal with dessert made it even more satisfying, haha. Dipped in honey it was seriously delicious... The sweet honey pie made a great dessert after the meal, and after filling up on pasta and pizza, finishing with something sweet made it feel like a truly complete meal :)

Is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch worth it for a family meal?

Overall, Bueokgan Haeundae Branch was satisfying from the food to the atmosphere. What I liked most was that it's not just about tasty food — the space itself is pretty and upscale, making it a great choice for a special occasion. The menu is also varied, from pasta to pizza to soup, so it's great to visit with a group and order several dishes to share.

So this place seems well suited not just for dates but for gatherings with friends, family meals, birthdays or anniversary dinners — any time you want a bit of atmosphere.
