Mid-size premium sashimi takeout: how much fish and which sauces?
Since we visited for the purpose of sashimi takeout from Noryangjin Fisheries Market, we ordered the 'Ttangkkeut Maeul premium sashimi, mid-size' that day.
The premium sashimi mid-size was made up of black porgy, olive flounder, red seabream, sea bass, salmon, and frozen bluefin tuna.
The small size is meant for 2 people and the mid-size for 2 to 3.
Trying it myself, it felt like a good fit for about three men, and could stretch to 4 if it's a mixed group! (It's really a lot!!!)
Since the point of the visit was sashimi takeout from Noryangjin Fisheries Market, packaging condition mattered most..! Ttangkkeut Maeul Noryangjin packed it really neatly. They even included an ice pack, so I didn't have to worry about the sashimi's condition during the trip home~
And the sauces were generous too. They gave a whopping five packs of soy sauce, plus sushi seasoning, ssamjang, and chogochujang! If your Noryangjin Fisheries Market sashimi takeout is meant for several people, this kind of thoughtful lineup is bound to impress you..?

When I look for a sashimi spot at Noryangjin, packaging matters to me as much as taste. The sashimi was packed neatly without getting messy, so it was easy to lay it all out and eat at home!
How did each fish taste, from black porgy to the mackerel sashimi?

What anyone looking for a sashimi restaurant recommendation at Noryangjin wants to know most is probably the taste, right?! Each type of the Ttangkkeut Maeul premium sashimi had a different texture, which made it fun to eat one by one!

I thought I knew it was black porgy, olive flounder, red seabream, sea bass, salmon, and frozen bluefin tuna, but as I kept eating, there was mackerel sashimi too?! Since it's the Ttangkkeut Maeul premium sashimi, it seems like they really take care to include tasty seasonal fish throughout the year!!!

The slices were thick, and eating it, I could really feel it was fresh — firm and bouncy!!
* This is my taste review as someone who loves sashimi but doesn't know the fish types well..! *

With this one, I first noticed the firm, clean-tasting flesh! It was savory and mild, and as I kept chewing, a faint sweetness came through that paired really well with soy sauce.

This one had a soft yet slightly springy texture that I liked! Chewy but with a subtle savory flavor that came through with each bite haha.

I'm sure of this one. Frozen bluefin tuna! Soft and melts in your mouth~

Besides these, I also had olive flounder, salmon, red seabream, and other seasonal fish! Overall the sashimi was fresh and thick-cut, which was satisfying!
At Ttangkkeut Maeul Noryangjin, they say they select the tastiest seasonal fish each season — sea bream in spring, croaker and gizzard shad in summer, mullet in fall, and yellowtail in winter — and apparently the melt-in-your-mouth yellowtail assortment is especially popular in winter!
If you want to enjoy the tastiest seasonal fish at a Noryangjin Fisheries Market restaurant, give it a try like I did! I'd definitely go back haha.
Spicy fish stew with a reservation: how the broth turned out at home

I had reserved ahead of time, and they said they'd include maeuntang (spicy fish stew) too. Getting to enjoy spicy fish stew at home along with sashimi takeout from Noryangjin Fisheries Market was a really nice bonus.
We didn't have any special ingredients at home, so we didn't add extras like radish or perilla leaves. Even so, the broth was quite tasty!!!

There was surprisingly a lot of meat on the bones. It was fun picking the meat off, and the broth was rich, so we ate it thoroughly to the last drop~~
Verdict: is the premium platter the one to order for Noryangjin sashimi takeout?

If you're looking for a sashimi restaurant recommendation at Noryangjin Fisheries Market, I recommend Ttangkkeut Maeul Noryangjin! True to being one of the sashimi spots at Noryangjin, the sashimi was fresh and thick, and I liked how varied the selection was.
Ttangkkeut Maeul Noryangjin also has enough variety that it's easy for a group to pick according to taste~ If you're at a Noryangjin sashimi restaurant and can't decide which type is best, going with the premium sashimi like I did should leave you with no regrets haha.
They also have a special menu called 'ttang-makase' for enjoying the tastiest seasonal fish, and I'm planning to try that next time!!!! The premium sashimi was already so~~~ good, so I'm curious how much better this could be haha. If you haven't decided which sashimi restaurant to visit, go give it a try at Ttangkkeut Maeul, well known as a Noryangjin Fisheries Market restaurant!!
