What the Sorori Sotbap storefront looks like

Sorori Sotbap is located on the first floor of the Culture Factory, which made it easy to grab a meal after visiting the Museum of Modern Art!

Sorori Sotbap sits to the right of the Culture Factory's main entrance! The warm, Korean-style interior was really cute.

There's a menu board at the entrance, so I'd been curious about this place every time I walked by!
Inside Sorori Sotbap: sunset views through floor-to-ceiling windows

The place was really spacious and clean, and one side had a full floor-to-ceiling window, so both the atmosphere and the view were amazing!

The clean, comfortable atmosphere seemed to draw all kinds of visitors — couples on dates, office workers grabbing dinner after work, families out for a meal, or friends catching up!!

Sotbap (hotpot rice) is light and easy to eat, so it seemed like a comfortable choice for anyone, any age. On a nice autumn day like this, seeing an exhibition and eating with a sunset view sounds perfect 🥹
What we ordered at Sorori Sotbap and what it cost

- Crab sotbap ₩14,000
- Raw salmon gimbap ₩13,000
- Zero sugar cola ₩2,000
The self-bar: unlimited salted seafood and side dishes

There's a self-bar set up in the middle of the hall, so you can easily refill any side dishes you run low on! I especially loved that the salted seafood (jeotgal), which pairs so well with sotbap, was unlimited too :> The combination of seaweed, rice, and jeotgal was so good I went back for seconds.

Hearing the sotbap being cooked fresh right after ordering built up my anticipation even more ♥

Even though each dish is made to order, the food came out pretty fast! Taste aside, the presentation was so pretty that I was already satisfied before even taking a bite..♥

The salmon buckwheat gimbap (seaweed rice roll) was huge, like a futomaki!! I worried it might not be filling enough, but it turned out to be plenty for a full meal. The crab sotbap also looked amazing, piled high with prepped crab meat and crab tomalley sauce 🤤

How does the salmon buckwheat gimbap taste?
I couldn't resist and tried the salmon buckwheat gimbap first — unlike the savory, salty flavor of typical Korean gimbap, this one was light and clean, and personally I loved it!!
Plump raw salmon inside, dipped in wasabi and soy sauce, almost tasted like sashimi. The soft texture combined with the light buckwheat noodle wrap was so good — I'd say it's a must-order if you visit Sorori Sotbap!!

What goes into the crab sotbap?
After the buckwheat gimbap built up my expectations, I stirred the sotbap and steam came billowing up..🤤

I thought it was just crab meat and tomalley, but there were plump shrimp in there too, adding more texture and making it even more filling!

The buckwheat gimbap let you enjoy the flavor of the gimbap itself, while the sotbap was fun to mix and match with different side dishes. I topped it with squid jeotgal, wrapped it in seaweed, and even added the wasabi that came with the gimbap — so many different flavors to enjoy!! Now I'm curious about their other sotbap options too. It's also great for solo dining, so I think I'll be back. And seriously, the salmon buckwheat gimbap is so good ㅜㅜ
