I was craving good meat again, so I went to Anmin Masan in Changwon. It's a place I go to often whenever I want barbecue near Anmin, and once again I had a delicious meal haha.
The meat quality is great and they grill it for you, so it's a comfortable place to eat — I'd recommend it to anyone who loves meat. This time I ordered the half-portion set along with some solid side dishes.

How was parking?
I parked at a lot near the restaurant and walked over. If you're driving, just check where to park beforehand and it shouldn't be a big hassle.

A spacious interior with roomy tables
Walking in, the interior was bigger than I expected, and the tables were nicely large too. The spacing between tables was generous, so I could eat comfortably without feeling cramped!!

Side dishes and sauces
Once seated, they brought out the side dishes one by one. Lettuce wraps, various pickles, white kimchi, green onion kimchi, and a variety of sauces to go with the meat all came out. Eating just meat can get a bit heavy, so it was nice to have pickles and kimchi to balance it out, and it was fun choosing which sauce to dip into depending on my mood haha.

The charcoal
Before grilling, they set up the charcoal, and it was genuinely good charcoal. The heat came up steadily, perfect condition for grilling the meat well. I guess at a barbecue place the meat itself matters, but the charcoal and grilling environment quietly make a big difference too!!! The meat was already so good that day, and adding that charcoal aroma really raised my expectations.

The side dish I always order: steamed egg
There's one menu item I always order when I go to Anmin, and it's the steamed egg. Having steamed egg alongside meat just makes the meal feel more filling and satisfying, right haha. It's soft and easy to eat, and pairs well with the meat between bites. I made sure not to skip it this time either, and it was delicious as always. If you're eating meat here, I recommend ordering the steamed egg too~~

The half-portion set: thick cuts grilled for you
The main dish I ordered that day was the half-portion set! The moment the meat came out, its thickness caught my eye right away. The quality looked excellent and it was sliced thick, so just looking at it felt like I was about to eat proper meat haha. What I especially liked was that staff grilled it for me directly. I didn't have to worry about the grilling and could just chat comfortably with the people I was with while eating.

How was the pork neck?
I tried the pork neck (moksal) first, and honestly, "melts in your mouth" is the exact phrase for it lol. Even though it was thick, it wasn't chewy at all and the juices were still there — really delicious. It was great on its own, but dipping it in the various sauces revealed a different flavor each time. Once I put the pork neck on a lettuce wrap with sauce, my hand just kept reaching for more?? The meat quality was clearly excellent.

The staff grilled each piece nicely and prepared it so we could eat it right when it was done. Watching the meat slowly turn golden brown already looked amazing, and once it was fully grilled, the look of it was seriously insane lol. The thick cuts came out grilled to just the right doneness, so I took photos and quickly dug in. I really felt that day that good-looking meat tastes good too.

The white fried rice I tried for the first time
And the dish I ordered for the first time this visit was the white fried rice. I've had meat at Anmin many times, but never this menu, so I was curious and ordered it. And wow — this was seriously amazing! It was a bit different from regular fried rice, thick and creamy in a way that felt just like risotto. It was perfect for finishing off the meal after the meat, and personally, it was the most memorable dish I had that day. I'll definitely order it again lol.

Good for group dinners or gatherings
Overall it was a satisfying meal, from the meat to the side dishes. The meat quality was great and thick, and having it grilled for me made eating easy — plus I'll definitely order the white fried rice again next time.
Since the restaurant is spacious and comfortable, it seems well-suited for a group visit too, so it could work well for a company dinner or gathering near Masan Station. It's also a good spot to eat well before or after a baseball game nearby, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal near the ballpark. I'll definitely come back the next time I want good meat haha.
