Gelato café in Gangdong, Seoul with park views: Damgeum

I found Italy in Seoul! Catchtable is available, reservations are available, takeout is available, and there is on-site parking. If you are looking for an Italian-inspired café in Seoul, I strongly recommend this place! I visited Damgeum (담금).

As summer was slipping away, I came for gelato because I wanted to hold onto it a little longer!

I absolutely love the lush green atmosphere! It was my first time seeing the outdoor seating open, and it was cool and so nice! It is perfect to enjoy on a lovely-weather day like these (❁´◡`❁)

Choosing two flavors at the kiosk

I could order at the kiosk. I chose two flavors in a cup, and picking them was so much fun—filling up ₩7,000 worth of happiness!

This European-style space, from the floor tiles to every piece of furniture, had something to catch my eye everywhere, and it made me feel at ease. Isn't it sparkling? Haha. I came on a weekday afternoon, so it was relaxed, but I hear there is definitely a wait on weekends..!! There was someone reading alone with wine and salad, and the mood was absolutely full-on. Of course, I also saw dates, solo coffee visits, friends' get-togethers, and all kinds of visits-

Gelato recognized by the Italian government, no less!!!!

I could find the spritz I drank in Italy at Damgeum. A place that cannot help but bring back an Italy trip! To find a café with this feeling in Seongnae-dong, near Olympic Park!

Park views from the window with a nutty almond latte

You enter your seat number, and they bring it over to you! I ordered a window seat, went to the restroom, and my drink was already waiting at the table!

My coffee came out first- I ordered an iced almond latte. The nuttiness was at its absolute peak!!! I also loved the park view from the window. You can really feel that lush green atmosphere- There is a playground in front, so visiting with my child was great because we could enjoy the playground too!

I desperately needed a caffeine refill, and the coffee was so delicious that I cannot help becoming a regular here- Sooo delicious

From Chodang corn to Andong Baekjinju rice

Then the two gelato flavors appeared! They serve it this beautifully?!! It really feels like Italy here, right-? Café hopping is always happiness!!!!

I chose Chodang corn, pure milk, hojicha, and Andong Baekjinju rice, and every single flavor was a success!

The organic hojicha has an exquisite pleasantly bitter flavor- It is the definition of refined gelato! And the rice gelato has actual grains of rice in it, so I loved that unique texture even more-

The gelato my child had was pure milk + Chodang corn. Sweet and cool, so of course my child loved it- Ice cream is wonderful anytime, but gelato made healthfully without additives is love- You can only have gelato like this at Damgeum- With wholesome ingredients, it feels less fattening and less burdensome—this healthy flavor. But it is seriously so, so delicious that I just kept eating it. Damgeum is a café that satisfied both mom and child. Since I came with my child, they even prepared a high chair! Our little one sat nicely in a chair, so we did not need it, but it is a space where the thoughtfulness really stands out ^_^

It is the place I want to run to when I crave gelato, or when I want coffee at a café with a wonderful atmosphere- It is actually an Italian government-approved shop where a gelatiere, a gelato expert, makes it themselves!!!! So how could it not be delicious? And this flavor is only available at Damgeum!!! This is Damgeum.
