Songpa café custom 100-day cake pickup: Circus Rabbit, Seoul

Our daughter Yuna is already 100 days old 👶🏻❤️ Why does time go by so fast.. Her 100th day was just around the corner, and my habit of putting things off kicked in again hahaha, so I hurriedly started looking for a 100-day cake. That’s when Circus Rabbit caught my eye!

It seemed like they make lots of 100-day and birthday cakes, so I went ahead and reserved a custom lettering cake.

This was both Yuna’s first cake and a special 100-day milestone, so rather than something elaborately decorated, I wanted a cake that was simply true to the basics.. So I chose a white No. 1 milk fresh-cream cake!

I asked them to write, “Congratulations on your 100th day, Yuna ❤️.” When I saw it in person, I absolutely loved how clean the design turned out.

Finding Circus Rabbit

We had booked a lunchtime pickup and headed to Jangmi Complex. If it’s your first time here, I recommend checking the location beforehand hahaha. Jangmi Complex is divided into Buildings A and B, and it’s quite a bit larger inside than you might expect. I went into the A shopping arcade first by mistake, then came back out thinking, “Huh?? Is this not it??” and went into the B shopping arcade instead hahaha.

They say you can find it right away by going underground near the main entrance after passing the front parking area, but if you’re directionally challenged like me, it might be best to check the location before pickup. We ended up missing our pickup time by a little too.. haha

But Jangmi Complex itself was really interesting. There were old hair salons, newly opened cafés, and so many office workers because it was lunchtime. It felt like an old-fashioned shopping arcade and modern sensibilities were blended together in this oddly lovely way. A mix of old and new, I guess? hahaha I secretly love this kind of atmosphere, so I enjoyed looking around as we walked.

After walking around for quite a while, we finally found Circus Rabbit (서커스래빗), and there was Yuna’s cake sitting right there in the display case. Ah, this is our daughter’s first cake 🥹 I got emotional all by myself for no reason..

Custom cakes with self-service pickup

The shop also had a separate self-service pickup area, so it looked like you could pick up your order without assistance. We were a little past our pickup time, and the owner took the cake out personally and introduced it to us, so we received it together.

The cake wasn’t decorated in an overly elaborate style, but it had clean, cute little details, which was exactly what I wanted. I liked it even more because it seemed like it would look lovely in Yuna’s 100-day photos without being too flashy. And while we were inside picking up the cake, I noticed the owner’s profile on the wall.

Oh… my confidence in this cake suddenly shot way up hahaha. I hadn’t even tasted it yet, but the place had this aura that made me think they must really know what they’re doing. I walked out holding the cake with a strangely satisfied spring in my step haha.

And finally, after Yuna’s 100-day celebration, we tried the cake. Everyone… this is where I’m getting milk fresh-cream cakes from now on. Hahaha I actually can’t eat much fresh-cream cake if it’s too sweet or heavy. But this one had that soft, nutty flavor unique to dairy-based animal cream, and it went so well with the moist cake layers.

Everyone praised it and said it was delicious.. I told them I’d had it made at a really great place in Jamsil, you know. I got so many compliments.

You know how it feels even better when the whole family says something delicious is good, rather than just you saying so? hahaha Thanks to Yuna’s 100th day, our family got to spend some time together again, eating cake and celebrating ❤️

At first, I was just looking because I needed to order a 100-day cake in a hurry, but in the end I was so happy that we could prepare our Yuna’s first cake so beautifully and deliciously. After trying it this time, I’ve saved a new favorite spot for milk fresh-cream cake. I’ll probably order from here again for the next birthday hahaha.
