Songpa restaurant anniversary dinner with jazz live: Allegro
In short
Allegro is an Italian-style restaurant in Songpa, Seoul, where you can enjoy jazz live music right in front of you. We had sous-vide pork neck steak, mushroom cream potato gnocchi, and burrata salad alongside a trio performance. Verdict: Allegro was perfect for an anniversary dinner with both great food and atmosphere.

I found the perfect Songpa restaurant for an anniversary dinner when you want delicious food and the atmosphere to be just as good! Great food is a given, but being able to eat while watching a live jazz performance right in front of you was such a plus. Knowing a place like this for an anniversary is seriously reassuring!
Allegro for an anniversary dinner in Songpa

As soon as you arrive in front of the building, the Allegro sign catches your eye. Allegro is neatly located on the third floor, so it was not hard to find. It is new, and even the building itself was spotlessly tidy!

Allegro has entrances on two sides. Coming from the other side gives you that clean, polished feel too, plus there are outdoor tables—perfect for dining in a cool autumn breeze. A glass of wine on the outdoor terrace? It does not get happier than that.
Hours and reservations
Allegro is open Monday and Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00 to 23:00, with a break from 15:00 to 18:00 and last orders at 21:30. It is regularly closed every Tuesday. Reservations, separate restrooms, high chairs, and easy payment are available, and I recommend booking through Naver or Catchtable!

When is the live jazz?
You can catch live jazz at Allegro. The performance is split into a first set from 7:30 to 8:10 p.m. and a second set from 8:25 to 9:05 p.m. The live music charge is ₩10,000 per person on weekdays and ₩15,000 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! You can check who is performing in advance too; on the day I visited, it was the Park Se-hee Trio.
The clean hall has a moody black interior, making it feel just right for an anniversary visit. It is genuinely such an atmospheric spot, perfect for a date. It also feels like a great choice for a second blind-date meeting.
The table setting was clean and elegant, and every corner made me want to take photos.

Everything was set up right in front of the table for the performance, so having it unfold before my eyes was unbelievably exciting. Listening to the performance, chatting, and eating delicious food—there could not be a more perfect trio!

Three dishes ordered by tablet
Ordering is done on a tablet, and we completed our order for three dishes: sous-vide pork neck steak, mushroom cream potato gnocchi, and burrata salad. It is a one-menu-item-per-person place, and every single dish on the menu looked so good.

First, the welcome bread arrived. Its cut surface showed such soft, fluffy layers that my anticipation shot up before the main meal even came out.
Fresh, moreish burrata salad
The first dish we met was the burrata salad! A round burrata cheese sat proudly in the middle, surrounded in colorful style by cherry tomatoes, grapes, and Shine Muscat grapes. The look alone was a total pass. The burrata salad was sooo delicious, and it was amazing on the bread too, so I really want to recommend ordering it!
The burrata cheese met the tangy tomatoes and filled my mouth with freshness, while the olive oil fragrance lingered gently. It was the kind of dish that keeps going down with no heaviness at all.

Crisp outside, fluffy inside: mushroom cream potato gnocchi
Next up was the mushroom cream potato gnocchi! Golden-browned gnocchi was piled generously over the cream sauce, and it already looked delicious just sitting there.

Take a spoonful and the outside is lightly crisp while the inside is fluffy—this contrast in texture is seriously charming. The salty bacon added to the cream sauce, and once you mixed it all together, it was impossible not to eat. Completely my style.

The sous-vide pork neck steak had not even arrived yet, but these first two dishes had already won me over. So happy!
Sous-vide pork neck steak, just right for an anniversary
The main dish was, of course, the sous-vide pork neck steak! It came with a deep brown, crisp sear on the outside and cream sauce on top, with a generous portion too. Steak is essential for an anniversary, and this was exactly it. The fries on the side were perfectly crisp outside and soft inside as well, making them dangerously easy to keep reaching for with the steak juices.

Cut into it and the moist pink center was still there, so you could immediately tell it had been properly cooked sous vide. Cut a large bite, dip it in the sauce, and the tender pork neck fibers melt apart while the rich cream sauce fills your mouth.
A trio performance begins during dinner
Even watching the instruments being set up between courses had me excited, but once the performance started, the mood changed completely. A trio of piano, vocals, and double bass began playing on the stage right in front of us, and it was one of those moments when I thought, wow, coming here for our anniversary was such a good decision.

With the piano performance too, all three elements came together perfectly. Being able to see a live performance this close while eating is Allegro's truly special point.

With the soft lighting added in, the restaurant had the exact feeling of a little jazz bar. Dinner while watching a performance felt like the kind of special memory that would stay with me for a long time. It is somewhere that makes me want to return for the next anniversary too.
