Magok Italian restaurant after a botanic garden walk: Romaok Magok
In short
Romaok Magok is a Blue Ribbon Italian restaurant on the 3rd floor of LG Arts Center Seoul, right by Magongnaru Station in Gangseo, Seoul. On a third visit with her mom after a full loop of Seoul Botanic Park, the writer ordered the Korean beef ragu fresh-pasta lasagna roll at 28,000 won and the abalone gaewoo pasta at 26,000 won, and the Colosseum-inspired signature lounge table and the pre-meal bread stood out most. Romaok Magok works just as well for a meal with parents as it does for a date.

The weather's been so nice lately that it's the kind of fall where you just want to be outside, right? I walked a full loop of Seoul Botanic Park with my mom and then headed straight to the LG Arts Center next door for a visit to the always-great-vibes Romaok!

The Arts Center always smells so good whenever I come, it just puts me in a good mood haha. There's an elevator, but you can also just take the escalator up to the 3rd floor!

Once you're up there, Romaok greets you with this gorgeous full-window view!

There's a menu board out front, and once you're inside, each table has its own kiosk for ordering.

The Colosseum-style signature lounge table
The moment you step into Romaok Magok, the signature lounge table catches your eye right away! The interior is genuinely unique and so pretty — it really does bring the Roman Colosseum to mind!!

This is my third visit to Romaok, and it's the kind of place whose atmosphere pulls me in every single time.

Isn't the table setup gorgeous? Romaok is perfect for a date or even a first meeting.

Besides the signature table, there are other seating options too!

And further inside, there are cozier tables tucked away haha.

What we ordered: Korean beef ragu lasagna roll and abalone gaewoo pasta
Romaok's menu might sound unfamiliar at first, but it's a mix of authentic Italian cooking with a Korean touch, so it's different from your typical pasta place! That's exactly why it also works so well for family gatherings with parents haha.
Today's order: beef ragu fresh lasagna roll ₩28,000 and abalone gaewoo pasta ₩26,000.

Romaok Magok's pre-meal bread
As a total bread lover, I'd rank this restaurant's pre-meal bread top tier. Honestly it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I'd come back just for this bread lol.

The bread has this moist, soft texture with a proper nutty flavor, and dipping it straight into the olive oil is genuinely so good!

You know how when the pre-meal bread is good, it automatically gets you excited for the main dishes lol. And then out came the main dishes — the lasagna roll and the pasta.

The plating is genuinely so pretty... this is a place that really nails what women love... and when it looks this good, of course you start expecting the taste to match.

Abalone gaewoo pasta, 26,000 won
The abalone gaewoo pasta was my mom's pick! It's made using gaewoo, the abalone's innards, which give it a savory, deep umami — seafood lovers will really enjoy this one!

The abalone pieces are pretty big too! There are garlic scapes mixed into the pasta, and they recommended eating them together!
The sauce soaks in really well, and you can taste that distinct, rich savoriness of the abalone!

It's not greasy at all, just clean and refreshing — I get why it's a signature pasta! And it was the perfect dish for my parents to enjoy too!

Korean beef ragu fresh-pasta lasagna roll, 28,000 won
And then the beef lasagna roll! This is my absolute favorite dish I order every time I come to Romaok haha.

It's lasagna rolled up like a roll — the outside is crispy while the filling inside is moist, and it's so delicious!

The best part is that the roll is packed with plenty of beef, so every bite has meat and lasagna together!
And the balsamic and ragu sauce combo worked way better than I expected! The rich umami of the ragu sauce plus the sweet-tart balsamic flavor was just right — not too heavy, and really tasty!

This is genuinely a flavor that would please just about anyone! And when we ordered it alongside the abalone gaewoo pasta, the flavors didn't overlap at all — each had its own charm, so eating them together made the meal even better!
Is Romaok Magok worth it with your parents?
From the atmosphere to the food, Romaok checked every box! Living up to its Blue Ribbon reputation, the food was delicious, and it's a great spot for both a parents' outing and a date. If you're looking for a great-atmosphere Italian restaurant in Magok, I recommend Romaok!
