Signature photo of Romaok Magok

A few days ago I went to see a show at LG Art Center with my daughter, and we stopped by Romaok on the 3rd floor. The atmosphere was still amazing. If you want a lovely meal near Magoknaru Station, I'd recommend this place! Let me introduce Romaok Magok, a Magoknaru restaurant with great vibes.

Where is Romaok Magok, and what are its hours?

LG Art Center in Magok, where Romaok is located, is also connected via a public subway walkway, which is really convenient. I actually came through that connecting passage.

A dining room that reinterprets Rome's arches

Romaok is well known as a Michelin 2-star restaurant! The space reinterprets the Colosseum and its arches, giving it a feel like you've stepped into Europe.

A wine library filling the wall, streetlamp-style lighting fixtures, and candlesticks and antique props decorating the center table all filled every corner with an elegant mood.

The warm natural light pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling folding-door windows added even more charm to the space.

I really loved the outdoor terrace too. It's absolutely perfect for enjoying brunch or dinner on a cool day!

Since I'd enjoyed the beef ragu fresh lazagna roll on a previous visit, I ordered that again, and my daughter picked the mushroom truffle cream pasta.

The photo above is the seat we sat at ♥️. If you make a reservation, they set the table up like this ahead of time — I'd recommend reserving if you're going with a group!

The tableware is elegant and pretty too 🤩

Once you order, the pre-meal bread comes out first.

One piece per person!

The bread isn't sweet and tastes great. You can order extra for a fee, so add some if you want more! It's delicious on its own, but dipping it in the balsamic olive oil makes it even better — the flavor and aroma just jump up 👍👍👍

The beef ragu fresh lazagna roll at Romaok Magok, a Magoknaru Station restaurant! I ordered it again after loving it last year.

The beef ragu fresh lazagna roll comes as three rolled pieces. It looks great and tastes great! Being rolled up makes it look like a small portion, but it's actually not a small amount 😃😃😃

Here's the cut cross-section! Inside the lazagna roll, the richly reduced beef ragu and prosciutto flavor are packed in tightly! The tomato sauce served on the plate makes it fresher and even tastier when spooned on top, so I'd recommend adding it to the roll ♥️.

Mushroom truffle cream pasta with mezzi paccheri, 26,000 won

The mushroom truffle cream pasta — the moment it hit the table, the deep truffle aroma grabbed me right away!

The chunky tube pasta, 'mezzi paccheri,' was cooked perfectly — chewy yet soft with every bite.

Cream sauce topped with Grana Padano cheese

The deep, rich mushroom cream sauce base was topped generously with grated, salty Grana Padano cheese, making it thick and smooth.

They generously shaved fresh black truffle on top of the pasta, so with every bite the cream and mushroom flavors exploded in my mouth.

Pre-meal bread dipped in pasta sauce

Dipping the pre-meal bread in the pasta sauce is great too!!! Both my daughter and I ate it all up happily 👍👍👍

Is Romaok Magok worth it before or after a show?

With its sophisticated interior reminiscent of the Colosseum and the refreshing terrace view on top of it, Romaok Magok was a feast for both the eyes and the mouth. True to its listing on the Blue Ribbon Survey, every dish we ordered was delicious.

It's a great spot before or after a show at LG Art Center Seoul, and it's also well positioned for a leisurely walk to nearby Seoul Botanic Park or heading over to the newly opened OneGrove for some shopping. I actually went shopping at OneGrove after the meal haha. Let's enjoy good food together ♥️♥️♥️
