Parking and the room at Pujim Gopchang Magoknaru Branch
Pujim Gopchang Magoknaru Branch offers up to 3 hours of free parking. The interior has exposed concrete walls and visible exhaust hoods — the classic gopchang restaurant vibe.

There's outdoor tent seating too, which gives off a bit of an Euljiro feel — great for eating outside on a nice day!

It's not exactly decorated, but honestly that's the charm of a gopchang restaurant haha. There are reservable group tables and Wi-Fi too!

What comes with the Pujim Half Platter, 600g for 59,000 won?
I ordered the Pujim Half Platter, 600g for ₩59,000! It comes with five cuts — gopchang, deep-fried tripe, makchang, daechang, and heart — plus a mini gopchang stew!

Even as a half portion, the amount is huge, and the staff grills it for you — honestly it looks delicious just watching haha.

The side dishes come out varied and plentiful too!

Unlimited raw liver and cheonyeop: the real reason to come
At Pujim Gopchang Magoknaru Branch, both the raw liver and mumallet (cow stomach) sides come with unlimited refills. This is the real point of Pujim Gopchang 🤍 For raw liver and mumallet, freshness is everything — even slightly off and you get that fishy smell, but here there's barely any fishy taste beyond the natural flavor!

Dip the raw liver in perilla oil and salt and the natural flavor of the liver combined with the nutty perilla oil just calls for a drink, honestly.

The mumallet has a proper crunchy texture that really comes through. The more you chew, the cleaner it tastes, which makes it perfect to alternate with the raw liver. It's good dipped in sauce, but dipping it in perilla oil too — that's the real combo. The nuttiness doubles 💕
Raw liver and mumallet aren't meant to be grilled — it's best to eat them right away at the start. The texture changes as time passes.
And the best part is that both the raw liver and mumallet are unlimited refills. You know it's not common for gopchang restaurants to offer this without limit, right?! For people who love raw liver and mumallet, this alone is reason enough to visit (I'm seriously going back just for the raw liver and mumallet haha).
How fat-packed is the gopchang? Taste by cut
As I mentioned, even the half portion at Pujim Gopchang comes in a generous amount!
I started with the heart, and it's soooo chewy, plus the pieces are impressively large — I loved it!
The gopchang is packed full of fat and plump 💕 I've been to quite a few gopchang restaurants, and places with this much fat packed in are rare 👍

Bite into a piece and the fat bursts out, spreading that nutty richness — that's exactly the flavor gopchang lovers chase. With this much fat, you can really taste the gopchang's true flavor multiplied 👍

The makchang is also plump and really chewy.
The daechang is plump too, and being fattier, it's nutty! But I can never eat more than two pieces of daechang haha.

When you're looking for a good gopchang restaurant in Magok, how much fat is packed in matters most, right? Pujim Gopchang has that covered for sure!

By the way, I heard the owner used to be a professional ssireum (Korean wrestling) athlete. Apparently he couldn't find the gopchang flavor he used to eat for stamina back in his athlete days, so he opened his own restaurant.

He apparently studied and researched gopchang trimming and aging methods separately — and once you taste it, you understand why.
The mini gopchang hotpot that comes with it, good for a hangover too
Order a full or half platter and a gopchang stew comes along with it.
First off, the ingredients are generous — there's way more gopchang and glass noodles in it than you'd expect.

And the broth tastes like a cross between budae jjigae (army stew) and gopchang stew, but really rich. It's that spicy and deep at once! Great as a drinking side dish, great mixed with rice, and great for a hangover too — the broth leans more rich than fiery spicy, so it really clears your stomach out!
Naver coupon and the free kimchi noodles
One Naver coupon gets you a choice of soju or beer, and the other — given if you sign up for notifications — gets you a choice of bibim noodles or yeolmu noodles. Grab them beforehand!

The owner said the kimchi noodles were so good he wanted to give them to us as a free service — I thought it'd be a tiny taste, but the portion was seriously huge haha (what a thoughtful owner 🤍). It's almost too generous to be called a free service!!

The taste was great too — pleasantly sweet with a slight kick of spice on top!

Perfect to reach for with your chopsticks when the gopchang starts to feel a bit rich!

Honestly, I'd buy this noodle dish separately if they sold it on its own 👍👍
