Today's a bar recommendation — a record of a fun night at Eulji Pocha in Guro Digital Complex, the kind of bar that gives old ladies like me a dopamine rush, haha.

A bar where you just sit and eat the whole time is boring, right?! If that's you, I recommend Eulji Pocha in Guro Digital Complex.

First, a quick scan of the menu and price list. We came here because they have a spicy chicken feet dish. Spicy chicken feet is definitely the go-to for a girls' party.

A bar that transplants the Eulji-ro print alley vibe

Retro vibes hit you right from the entrance. There are plenty of photo zones for pictures.

The interior looks like it was lifted straight out of the Eulji-ro print alley. Part street tent bar, part hip hangout. As someone who actually works in Eulji-ro, I found it hilarious haha.

It's not just the vibe — there's plenty of content packed in, a real dopamine-rush bar that's fun to eat and play games in. The way you use the place is a little unique.

How do you get Eulji Mungbanggu coins?

There's literally a claw machine inside the bar. But it's not for cash! Isn't that fun??

Instead of money, you get coins little by little when you order food, and you can use those for claw machines, games, taking photos, buying snacks, and more.

Also, the bar was way bigger than I expected. There's a large space deeper inside, so it really feels like you're wandering through the Eulji-ro print alley.

There's a big sign on the wall explaining how to use Eulji Pocha coins. It says 'Eulji Mungbanggu' (Eulji stationery shop). There are nostalgic snacks that bring back memories, plus games too.

Put in one coin, take one snack. After taking photos, we used our leftover coins to buy a Chacani snack too, haha.

We ordered one chicken feet soup at Eulji Pocha Guro. I hadn't eaten any carbs at all today... so we ordered rice balls too.

Spicy chicken feet soup is the sacred girls' party drinking snack, of course. The price of the chicken feet soup at Eulji Pocha, this recommended Guro bar, is 22,000 won.

I hesitated a bit between this and dak-dori-tang (braised spicy chicken stew), but a girls' party calls for chicken feet, of course.

It was just spicy enough with a rich, saucy broth — perfect for nursing over soju little by little for a long time.

The self-rolled rice balls come out generously in a big bowl, and you put on disposable gloves and shape them into neat little rounds yourself.

Put a rice ball on your spoon, top it with a piece of spicy boneless chicken feet, then drizzle a bit more broth over it...? Seriously delicious.

Claw machine and dalgona candy, back to childhood

With the coins we got from ordering food, we tried the claw machine. I think it was about two coins per try.

But my friend pretended she'd never done a claw machine before. Seriously ridiculous — were you raised in a bubble? She kept insisting the stationery shop guy always did it for her, not herself. Hey, hey, you and I went to the same elementary school, remember?

Do you know this thing called dalgona candy (ppopgi)? Honestly this was actually a first for both of us haha. It's not the kind where you press a flat mold — more like sugar melted on the spot with a chopstick stuck in it.

Ta-da. We finished it looking pretty ugly. But it's just for fun, haha. Felt like going back to childhood for a moment, haha.

Cereal yogurt ice cream, ₩9,000

After all that spicy chicken feet, I craved something cold, so I ordered ice cream.

The price of the cereal yogurt ice cream at Eulji Pocha Guro is just 9,000 won, pretty cheap, right? After drinking, something sweet and cold hits the spot. I love yogurt so I really enjoyed it.

Since you get Eulji Mungbanggu coins with every food and drink order, you quickly become a coin millionaire.

Photo booth for 4 coins

There's even a photo booth inside Eulji Pocha. You can take photos with 4 coins, so we did it right away. Outside it costs 4,000 won, so isn't this a total win?

Since you get one or two coins each time you order drinks and food, you quickly rack up coins and have fun with all sorts of stuff. I think it was more fun than boringly sitting and just drinking, since there's so much content.
