Sushi lunch in Songdo, Incheon: yuzu shrimp at Sushi Doku The Songdo

Do you know Sushi Doku Songdo? I found life-changing sushi at Onesta, haha. My mom, my husband, and I went looking for a good restaurant in Incheon for a weekday lunch, and the three of us spent the whole meal saying, “Wow, the sushi here is really delicious,” and, “How can sushi be this good?” 😂

Today’s Incheon restaurant introduction is Sushi Doku The Songdo!

It honestly tasted even better to me than sushi I’d had at some pricey omakase places, so I’ll go through everything from how to wait to parking information! 😊

Is there a wait even at weekday lunch?

There were lots of reviews calling Sushi Doku Songdo a place with a wait, so before going I kept refreshing the Catchtable app in case we had to queue, haha. Sushi Doku allows remote waiting starting at two parties ahead, and about 10 minutes before we arrived, it showed exactly two parties! (It was around 11:30 a.m. on a weekday!)

I immediately joined the Catchtable remote queue, parked, and went upstairs—and with perfect timing, we got the notification to enter right away 😂 (It was around 11:45 a.m. when we entered!)

There were quite a lot of customers even at weekday lunch, so if you’re looking for a popular restaurant with a wait in Songdo, it may be worth checking Catchtable.

Onesta parking and restaurant information

Sushi Doku Songdo is in Onesta near Technopark Station in Incheon, so parking was easy too. The underground garage goes down to B4, and the restaurant registered two hours of free parking for us after our meal.

There was a separate Catchtable waiting kiosk in front of the restaurant, and two parties were waiting when we arrived!

Once inside, there really were so many customers. We were shown to a table for three.

Three orders of the premium sushi special set

We ordered the Premium Sushi Special Set, 10 pieces, for ₩25,900! My mom, my husband, and I each ordered the same one.

I expected a spoon and chopsticks, but there was a brush for applying soy sauce along with the chopsticks, and I thought, wow, even this little detail is so thoughtful 👍

The food comes out really fast

Each set arrives as a full tray. It isn’t just sushi by itself—udon, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), salad, and fried items all come with it, so it was a pretty substantial lunch.

From truffle chawanmushi to udon and salad

The chawanmushi was a truffle style. My mom and I can’t eat truffles, so only my husband had it, haha.

Sashimi soy sauce for the sushi is set out at each table, so you can pour it yourself!

The udon noodles were pleasantly chewy, and it was fun because there was such a cute Nemo-shaped fish cake in it 🤣

My husband normally barely eats salad, but he said the dressing was delicious, finished his own, and even took mine to eat 😂 Shrimp tempura and chicken karaage came with it too, and the fried items were seriously good!

Why is the sushi this delicious?

But this is where it really begins 🤣 The sushi that satisfied me most at Sushi Doku Songdo!!!

Right from the first bite, the ingredients felt incredibly fresh. Since customers keep coming through, I wondered if the quick turnover was why. The neta (sushi topping) was delicious, but so was the shari (seasoned sushi rice), so I kept marveling at every single piece 😋

There was such variety—flounder, red shrimp, salmon, ankimo, sweet shrimp, red snow crab meat, eel, and ankimo with red sea bream—and every piece was delicious! For me especially, the red shrimp sushi topped with yuzu was the top pick of the day! 👑

I’d never known the fresh scent of yuzu could pair this perfectly with thick red shrimp meat. My eyes got huge the moment I ate it, haha.

We ordered it with wasabi included, but there was less wasabi inside the sushi than I expected. If you love wasabi, I recommend adding a little more separately!

Extra sushi through a receipt review

We took part in the receipt review event. We wrote two reviews and received two extra pieces of sushi, so we enjoyed it properly right to the end, haha.

All three of us say YES to returning!

After we finished, I outright asked my mom and husband, “Would you come here again?” And all three of us said we’d return, haha. If Sushi Doku Songdo were near my home, I think I’d go really often 🩷

If you love sushi and are looking for a good restaurant in Songdo, I think this is well worth a visit. For me, it was a life-changing sushi place I discovered for the first time in ages, so if I’m in Songdo while looking for good food in Incheon again, I’ll definitely come back to eat here 😊
