An exotic Indian dining spot in Songdo
Exterior

Instead of the Korean or Western food I eat all the time, I wanted something exotic today, so I came to Manokamana, a great Songdo spot for proper authentic Indian food!
A spacious, exotic interior
The restaurant was quite spacious, with lots of exotic decor and accessories that really brought out an Indian local feel. It honestly felt a bit like I was traveling abroad, haha. There was plenty of space between the tables, too!
There are terrace seats as well, so on a nice day it looked like a great place to relax and eat outside.
A varied menu, from curry to tandoori chicken

The menu is incredibly extensive, haha—from all kinds of curry and tandoori chicken to naan and fried rice! For value, I think a set is the best choice.
What comes with the B Set
Ordering by QR code was really convenient! I ordered the B Set. It comes with green salad and six pieces of chicken tikka, plus your choice of one curry, one naan, rice, and a drink! The drink choices were lassi, mango lassi, and strawberry lassi.

These were the complimentary sides that came after ordering: pickles, jalapeños, and sweet seasoned onions! The bowls and cutlery are copper, which gave everything a nice solid feel. At Manokamana, an Indian curry restaurant, a local chef cooks your food fresh to order.

Refreshing green salad and dressing
The green salad came out first, and it was really nice to have before the meal.

The dressing tasted like a blend of mango and orange—refreshing, unusual, and so delicious!!!

The table was completely filled with dishes. It all looked so delicious just sitting there...ㅠ A perfect Indian spread of plain rice, mutton masala, butter naan, and chicken tikka. I took a sip of the lassi first, and it had a sweet, tangy yogurt flavor! Somehow, I always crave lassi when I eat curry, lol. Is that just me? Haha.

Mutton masala and butter naan
Mutton masala and butter naan. Doesn’t the naan look amazing just from all that butter glistening on it? It was perfect naan: crisp outside and wonderfully chewy inside. The lightly brushed butter added a subtle aroma that made it even more tempting.

Plain rice and boneless chicken tikka
Plain rice and chicken tikka. The rice was regular rice rather than long-grain rice.

There was quite a lot of lamb in the mutton masala. The deep flavor of the spices and the rich, spicy tomato-based sauce paired so well with the lamb’s distinct flavor—it was seriously delicious. The meat was not tough at all, and putting that rich sauce on naan was absolute perfection!! Oh, and it is fairly spicy!
It was also delicious mixed right into the rice. The spices and rich flavor made me feel like I was in India...
Can you see those nice big pieces of lamb?

Chicken tikka with smoky flavor and spicy seasoning
Next up was the chicken tikka! Since it was boneless, it was really easy to eat. It was nicely browned outside while staying moist and tender inside. The subtle smoky flavor and spicy, savory seasoning made it delicious even on its own.

The sauce that came with it was fairly spicy too! Alternating bites of curry and chicken tikka, it disappeared in no time.
A generous Indian meal in Songdo
The food quality was excellent, and the set menu was thoughtfully and reasonably put together, making this a great Songdo restaurant for a generous meal without feeling burdensome! The staff were very kind, and the restaurant was kept clean, so I had such a pleasant time throughout the meal.
If you want to experience a different world of food, or you’re craving properly flavorful Indian cuisine, visit Manokamana Songdo Branch, a Songdo Indian curry restaurant that delivers high-quality flavor! You might find yourself swept away by India’s aromas filling your mouth, hehe.
