Yangnam Yanghwa in Mullae-dong: location and atmosphere
Hasn't the weather been seriously lovely lately? I don't usually head into Seoul that often, but when the weather is nice, I somehow really want to go—so today I went to Mullae!!! I'd heard Mullae was hot, but I'd never been, so I got curious haha. Whenever I visit a new area, I absolutely love searching for a good local restaurant, so while wondering what to eat today, I found this unlimited lamb spot in Mullae-dong and had to visit haha.
Yangnam Yanghwa is in Mullae-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It is within walking distance of both Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station and Mullae Station, so on a lovely day like this, it would be nice to stroll over! Since it is open daily from 12:00 to 24:00 with no days off, being able to visit whenever is a major plus. You do need to use a nearby paid parking lot, though haha.

I walked over from Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station that day, and it took about 10 minutes. There is a wooden sign by the entrance, making it easy to find.

The exterior was decorated in warm wood tones overall. It had such a strong wooden-house feel that it reminded me of the cute wooden house from The Three Little Pigs lol.

The interior was not huge but felt cozy, with the same wood-toned décor as the exterior. Every seat is a bar seat, and the tables are arranged in a U shape with the staff member standing in the middle. It is a setup you often see at ramen bars!
Wooden partitions separate the seats. I had made a Naver reservation that day, so they had set everything up for me in advance right on time haha. I wasn't wearing a coat yet, but there were wall hooks, which looked handy for winter coats. Storage space under the chairs for bags was another big plus. It was not a large space, but you could see the owner had put a lot of thought into making use of every inch.
Two-hour unlimited lamb selection and reservation benefits
At Yangnam Yanghwa, you can have unlimited lamb ribs and lamb. Pay the base price—₩38,900 for adults and ₩22,900 for children—and you can get unlimited refills for two hours! Lamb is pretty expensive, and even one serving of lamb skewers can easily run around ₩20,000, so ₩38,900 for all-you-can-eat is such a bargain, isn't it? Wow.

Leave a Naver receipt review and you can get one drink, either a cola or a highball, so definitely do it!!! And garlic rice is available when you make a Naver reservation, so don't forget—go make that Naver reservation~
They first brought out a welcome lemon highball in a soju-shot-sized glass, but I didn't get a photoㅠㅠㅠ It is alcohol at around 2–3%, though, so no no no driving after drinking it~

The standard sauces are wasabi, mayo sauce, and lamb-skewer sauce. You can refill those sauces, so I recommend dipping generously!!! After a short wait, they brought over charcoal with great heat like this.

Staff grilling from T-bone to shoulder
They put big cuts of lamb on the grill. The lamb selection includes T-bone (striploin + tenderloin) from lamb under one year old, front ribs, shoulder, and tomahawk. With so many cuts, you get to enjoy lots of different flavors 😋

Another of Yangnam Yanghwa's biggest draws is that the staff grill absolutely everything for you!!! With the grilling service, you can comfortably eat it at its best every time haha.

Once the meat was cooked, they placed it on our individual plates lol. Since they grill it so well, all we had to do was eagerly accept each bite, and I kind of felt like a baby bird haha.

I tried the lamb striploin on the T-bone steak. There was almost none of that distinctive lamb smell, and it was nicely fatty and tender in equal measure—such a well-balanced flavor haha.

I like dipping lamb in chili soy sauce lol. Lamb can be a little rich because of its fat, and the soy sauce and chili seemed to cleanly rein it in!!!

This time, let's grill shoulder plus rib meat. Nom nom nom. As they grilled and cut it, they asked whether I wanted the meat attached to the bone grilled too, or discarded. Even though it was all-you-can-eat, throwing it away felt like a waste—and they said the bone-adjacent meat was tasty—so I asked them to grill it haha.

Maybe because there was so much meat, after just a little wait it piled up like a mountain lol.

The lamb shoulder was incredibly tender. It was a little fattier than the striploin and tenderloin I had first, with more of lamb's characteristic aroma, so personally I enjoyed it even more haha.

The part attached to the bone had quite a lot of meat too. It came off more tenderly than expected when I held it with my teeth and tore at it, so it was not particularly awkward to eat—and the meat was chewy and delicious haha.
Grilled vegetables, refills, and meal dishes
Once the first round of meat was finished, they grilled vegetables too: onion, eggplant, mushrooms, and green onion.

Because the outer layer of the green onion was charred, they gently peeled that part away with tweezers and served only the inside. The interior was moist and perfectly cooked, with a delicate green-onion flavor coming through—it was so fragrant! Lol.

The mushrooms were wrapped well in foil and slowly cooked! Haha. They had been cooked for a long time, so they were fragrant and moist; since they were unseasoned, they felt like a comforting support for lamb that can be a little intense lol. They also gave us gim (roasted seaweed), so put mushroom and lamb on top with wasabi and—yaaah, perfect! Whenever things got rich, one pickle completely reset my palate lol.
Once you finish the meat, you can get a refill. For refills, you can choose T-bone or shoulder, or get T-bone plus shoulder again just like the first round. Naturally, I ordered both lol. And then the meat party continued.

Then came the ₩7,000 seafood ramen. The broth was not intensely spicy; it had lots of seafood, making it refreshing and savory. Firm noodles were an extra bonus haha. There was a substantial crab inside too, and sucking on crab soaked in ramen broth was totally yummm~~
The garlic rice was ₩4,000. It may be easier to think of it as garlic fried rice rather than garlic rice: the rice itself was fried fluffy and separate, with garlic chips on top, so the garlic aroma felt even more layered! The bibim noodles were ₩4,000. They were not wildly distinctive or anything, but they came with an egg, and for bibim noodles bought at a restaurant, they seemed like great value!!!
They grilled cherry tomatoes and my favorite green onion too haha.

With the refill, I ate abundantly—mushrooms, meat, cherry tomatoes, green onion, onion, and more. I could eat each item the moment they grilled it, so I happily gobbled it up like a baby bird haha.

Finally, orange sorbet that arrives like dessert! It washed away a palate that might otherwise have felt heavy, making it such a lovely final dessert 😍
A hearty Mullae lamb meal without grilling it yourself
If you usually love lamb, I think you could have a truly satisfying meal here haha. The biggest advantage is definitely getting to enjoy various lamb cuts with unlimited refills! Adults can eat unlimited lamb for two hours at ₩38,900. Considering lamb prices these days, it felt very reasonable. Wow.
From the beginning, there were multiple cuts to try, including T-bone, striploin, tenderloin, rib meat, and shoulder, so it had a different appeal from an all-you-can-eat place where you just keep eating the same meat haha. Overall, there was almost no distinctive off smell, and each cut had different richness and texture, making it fun to choose! The striploin attached to the T-bone was moderately fatty and tender with great balance, while the shoulder was somewhat fattier with more characteristic lamb flavor. I think it would be even more satisfying if you choose and refill the cut you personally prefer haha.
And what I personally really loved was that the staff grill the meat for you!! At all-you-can-eat places, you can often get frazzled constantly grilling meat, but here the staff grill it at the right moment and even cut it up, so we just eagerly accept it lol. It really felt like being a baby bird... Being able to focus entirely on eating meat was a major plus too haha. I honestly had a slight worry that the meat quality might disappoint because it was all-you-can-eat, but after trying it, I got to enjoy more varied cuts than expected, all deliciously, and the staff grilling service made for a very satisfying meal!
If you love lamb in Mullae-dong, want a hearty meal, or want to enjoy lamb comfortably without grilling it yourself, Yangnam Yanghwa seems well worth a visit haha. If I come back to Mullae, I need to go crush some lamb again 💛
