In short
Omil Hyehwa Daehangno is a colorful Western-style restaurant in Jongno, Seoul, right by Exit 4 of Hyehwa Station. We visited for lunch with a child, ordered the chick-family omurice and salmon steak gnocchi, and explored the selfie spot. Verdict: A sweet pick for a family meal.

Let me introduce a cute little restaurant in Daehangno~ I love omurice, so I had wanted to visit for ages, and I finally made it here for the first time haha. It is a great place for a family meal with a child. It is right in front of Exit 4 of Hyehwa Station, and since it is in Daehangno, there are lots of things to do and performances to enjoy nearby.

Omil Hyehwa Daehangno Hours and Entrance
Monday through Friday, it is open from 11:30 to 21:15, with a break from 15:15 to 16:30 and last orders at 20:30. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 11:30 to 21:15, with last orders at 20:30.

It is on the second floor, so you will need to go up the stairs. There are cute posters from the entrance onward. They made me even more excited for the charming details I expected from the menu.

A Colorful Restaurant That Is Great with Kids
When we visited at lunchtime, the restaurant was full of guests, with lots of couples and children. It had been a while since I had been somewhere with so many children, and I left with a dose of their bright, innocent energy haha.

Inside, it was decorated in bright colors, and the tables were neat and tidy~ There were lots of tables for two to four people, with comfortable chairs.

There is a cute selfie spot, too. The butter-toned interior and Alice-like mirror go so well together, right? haha

It was nice to look around every corner before our food came out.

There is also a self-service bar, so you can naturally pick up what you need and look around the restaurant haha. It was crowded, even when I wanted to go sightseeing, but I could take little looks while going to the water station, which was nice hahaha. The water station was unusual, with a lever dispenser. You can pour as much as you want.

NFC Ordering and Adjustable Spice Levels
Each seat has NFC table ordering. The menu has Western-style dishes including pasta and steak. There were lots of unusual pasta options, and the steaks looked like good value, so I am planning to try one next time haha. You can also adjust the spice level when selecting a dish, which may be why families with young children seem to come here often.

I thought orange juice would go well with the food here. It looks refreshing just to look at, doesn't it? Next time, I want to try the signature pineapple juice.

A Cute Plate of Chick-Family Omurice
The adorably compact chick-family omurice arrived. It looked cute in the photos, but it came out exactly the same in person haha.

They also give you a little duck float as part of an event haha. It is even wearing sunglasses, so it really has vacation vibes, right? It was such a nice surprise haha. It was cuter than I expected, so I nearly stole it for myself. Please move the cute quail eggs carefully haha.

This is the kind of accident where an eye can disappear ㅠㅠ Since the quail eggs have a strong flavor when eaten together, I recommend having plenty of sauce or rice with them.
The fried rice was unusual because it had salmon in it, and while the sauce was fairly standard, it went well with the fried rice. My dining companion loves salmon, so they said it was really delicious haha.

How Was the Salmon Steak Gnocchi?
Here is another salmon dish. It looks really appetizing as a steak, doesn't it? It also comes with plump gnocchi.

I chose the non-spicy option, but it still had the faintest kick, so it was not rich or heavy and had a lovely savory flavor. It was soft enough to cut easily even using a fork in one hand.

The sauce was especially delicious and distinctive, and it was even better when eaten all at once with the chewy gnocchi.

Move the cute chicks around, too. They look like they are having fun everywhere haha. Since the salmon steak sauce is slightly spicy, it goes well with the quail eggs~~
