Margherita and smooth potato half-and-half pizza in Yeonnam-dong

Today I'm sharing my review of Sunny's Pizza Market, a well-known pizza spot in Yeonnam-dong.

Sunny's Pizza Market, a great pizza place in Yeonnam, is easy to spot once you walk a little from Exit 3 of Hongik University Station!

You just head up to the 2nd floor of the building with the ulzzang photo booth sticker shop.

It's a pizza place with a pretty impressive résumé haha.

If you asked me my favorite food, I'd say pizza without hesitation — I'm that serious about it, so I was super excited to see how good this place would be 😆

They also do a lot of delivery and takeout, so if going out to eat feels like too much of a hassle (?), I'd recommend just ordering delivery lol.

For reference, the seating inside looks like this — so spacious and pleasant, right?! The interior was clean too.

A self-bar where even the sauces are free

Another great thing about Sunny's Pizza Market is how well-stocked the self-bar is.

At most pizza places, parmesan cheese or garlic dipping sauce often comes with an extra charge, but here it was all free 🥹🥹 There was also a good variety of sauces to add on, like pickles, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes.

Since sauce really takes pizza to another level, I grabbed a few that matched my taste 🫶

You order right at the table with a tablet. As two adult women, we ordered one R-size pizza and it was just the right amount to fill us up haha.

Ta-da — I went with a half-and-half pizza, with margherita and smooth potato as the two flavors!

You can already tell from the thick layer of cheese on top how good it looks, ㅠㅠ

Sunny's Pizza Market only uses house-made sauces and natural cheese, so the quality of the pizza is guaranteed 👍👍

Margherita

First, I tried the margherita pizza — think of the margherita (margherita pizza) we're all familiar with :) Visually it's simple, just tomato sauce and cheese on top.

The tomato sauce was tangy with the flavor of the original tomatoes really shining through, so the pizza was bound to be delicious haha. Eating it fresh out of the oven while the cheese stretches — that's pure happiness...

I dipped the crust ends in garlic dipping sauce to keep things from getting bland, and the dough was chewy and moist with no dryness at all — so good!

Smooth Potato

Next up, tasting time for the smooth potato 🍕 If I could only eat one flavor for the rest of my life, I'd pick potato — I'm a die-hard potato-pizza person — so I was extra curious how this Blue Ribbon potato pizza would turn out.

They piled on so much cheese that it stretched like crazy the moment I picked up a slice haha. Being natural cheese, it definitely had that fresh, chewy texture.

Underneath the cheddar cheese, fluffy potatoes were hiding, and more kept popping out with every bite — it was even better than expected. The potato added a nice sense of fullness and softness, and personally, this one suited my taste even more haha.

It's been a while since I had such a properly delicious pizza, and I left fully satisfied ✨️ I'd definitely go back!!
