Juno Hair had a comfortable vibe from the moment I walked in

I visited on a weekday afternoon and was surprised how many people were there..! But the space itself is genuinely huge, so even with a lot of customers it didn't feel crowded or chaotic. The shampoo room in particular is a separate space with slightly dimmed lighting, which gave it a private feel and made the whole thing more relaxing.

They also gave me iced coffee and cookies. They offered a few drink options like coffee and tea, but after trekking to Hongdae on a hot day, iced coffee was exactly what I needed... haha. And the coffee was actually good!? Turns out Juno Hair Hongdae is also a coffee spot lol.
So what does the Premium Hair Care S Course actually include?

What I signed up for was the Premium Hair Care S Course! Before starting, the designer explained in detail what order things would happen in and what each step was for. It's a 6-step course ending with finishing styling — not just slapping on a few products and calling it done, but a process that replenishes moisture and protein and finishes with a coating step. I'll walk you through each stage below!
BEFORE: my hair condition before the clinic

First, here's my hair before the clinic. It got badly damaged from one bad perm ㅠㅠ The outer layers especially were damaged, giving it an overall frizzy look. Surprisingly, this is even after shampooing, using treatment, and slathering on essence that same morning... Even doing all that couldn't tame the frizz, which is why I came in for a hair clinic ㅠㅠ
Step 1: Shampoo

The very first step is shampoo! But not just a regular wash — apparently it detoxes metal particles from inside the hair and supplies moisture and nutrients, prepping the hair so the following steps absorb well. There's a scalp massage while shampooing too, and it felt genuinely amazing 👍 After shampooing there was a bit of a resting time, and the shampoo chair here reclines fully flat to 180 degrees, so it's basically like lying on a bed. Usually lying at a shampoo station for a while makes your neck, shoulders, and back uncomfortable, but this was so comfortable I almost fell asleep lol. After lying there comfortably for a while, they rinsed it out and step 1 was done!
Step 2: Watery

Second is the watery step. This step smooths raised cuticles caused by damage and infuses the hair with moisture and protein. After carefully applying the product, the staff kept working it in with their hands, and watching that, it hit me... ah, this is why buying the same product and applying it at home never gives the same result as a salon clinic lol. The handling was so thorough — it really felt like they were packing the product into every damaged strand.
Step 3: Silky
With the watery product still on, they immediately layered on the silky product. In this step, protein, moisture, and minerals are supplied to add strength and softness and improve overall smoothness. After applying silky, it was steam time! I usually remember cold steam from salon clinics, but this step used warm steam instead. It felt like the nutrients were being absorbed even deeper into the hair lol.
Step 4: Smooth

This is the smooth step, which coats the hair so the ingredients from the previous steps don't escape. A protein structure similar to hair's own structure forms a coating film over the cuticle, preventing loss of the active ingredients packed in earlier and boosting internal elasticity — an elasticity care step. Hearing all this, it really felt less like just slathering on nice products and more like every step was carefully calculated and designed.
Step 5: Relaxing scalp massage

And this was my favorite part of the whole course...💛 After applying the smooth product, I lay back in a massage chair and got another round of steam while being massaged. This time it wasn't warm steam but cold steam! Warm steam for infusing active ingredients, cold steam for the coating step — every stage really was designed down to the details.

While the massage chair was running, they also massaged my scalp and neck. It was pure bliss...... it made me want to earn more money so I could do this more often lol. After the scalp and neck massage, they let me relax alone with the steam running, and the massage chair was so comfortable and they even covered me with a fluffy blanket, so I nearly dozed off... I came for hair care but the whole clinic experience itself was just healing ㅠㅠ
Step 6: Finishing styling

Now for the final step! They applied essence and styled while blow-drying. Since it was right after the clinic, it wasn't intense styling — just a natural blow-dry as they dried it. But even before my hair was fully dry, I could see shine looking in the mirror lol. You can probably tell the shine in the photos too!? In person it looked even smoother and calmer, but photos just can't capture it all ㅠㅠ While drying my hair, they also shared some at-home drying tips that even someone with clumsy hands like me could manage, so I'm planning to practice them at home lol.
The results were even more impressive after a few days
Comparing before & after like this, the difference is huge, right..!? I was shocked myself lol. On the day of the clinic my hair was so soft and nice that I kept touching it all day lol. But honestly, I think the real value of a hair clinic shows up after you shampoo it yourself the next day..! Plenty of times I've thought 'wow, my hair is so much better!' on the day, only to wonder the next day after washing and drying it myself whether I'd even had a clinic done at all lol. But this time, the results held up really well even a few days later 👍

This photo is from about 2-3 days after the clinic, and my hair still felt calm and shiny. After perm damage, no amount of home care could tame the frizz, which was stressful, but getting professional care clearly made a real difference. I think getting proper care like this once every month or two would make managing my hair a lot easier!
A review of my designer at Juno Hair Hongdae Entrance Branch

The designer who took care of me this time..! They explained every step of the clinic clearly and took great care with the treatment, and even the light finishing blow-dry at the end left a style I really loved. After botching a perm once, I learned the hard way just how important the designer is... lol. So I've decided I'm trusting my next perm to this designer..!!
If you're struggling with damaged hair..! and want to try a proper hair clinic, I'd recommend the Premium Hair Care S Course at Juno Hair Hongdae Entrance Branch. Beyond the hair itself, the massage chair with scalp and neck massage made the whole session feel like healing 💛 What satisfied me most was that the softness and calmness held up even days later!
