Yeoksam laptop café with an oatmeal cookie two-tier tray: Mini Male

Today I'm starting a review of a real coffee gem I've visited three times. After lunch during remote work, you always end up craving a cup of coffee — and today's spot has amazing coffee and cookies at (a name that's a little hard to pronounce) Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam!

Even from a distance, the yellow sign told me exactly what kind of café this was. The name itself is Mini Male (minimale), and the sign matched that minimal tone perfectly — it looked so pretty.

Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch is on the first floor at 26 Teheran-ro 25-gil, with gray-tone interiors and a steel counter. The tables are spaced generously and every seat has an outlet, which made it comfortable for laptop work.

The moment I walked in, that gray-tone interior with the steel counter looked so pretty. The lighting and finishes felt genuinely sophisticated. The tables were spaced wide enough that it was perfect for setting up a laptop and working.

The posters on the wall were full of atmosphere too. Phrases like Icecream Karte and British Einspänner written in German gave it a European café feel :) So cute.

I took a small table by the window. It was raining, so the view outside had a nice atmosphere too. This spot, lit by a single yellow lamp, was perfect for sitting alone to work, and having an outlet at every seat made it convenient.

I was curious about all of them but ended up picking a cookie and a pound cake, and it really is the kind of taste you keep thinking about. I want the recipe. I'm eating it right now while writing this post lol (I went back once more after that)

I heard they roast their own beans in-house, and maybe that's why even the aroma was different.

I ordered two cookies, and at Mini Male Yeoksam they brought them out on a two-tier tray. The oatmeal cookie was crisp outside and chewy inside, and the pound cake topped with a lemon slice was tangy-sweet and moist.

The napkin had such a nice design that I had to photograph it. Cute, right lol

And then, this visual finally appeared. I only ordered two cookies but they gave it to me on a two-tier tray — I was touched lol

With everything stacked up in tiers on the tray, it didn't feel like I'd just come for a cup of coffee — it felt like a proper little tea time. The pound cake with the lemon slice on top was tangy-sweet and moist too.

It was my first time trying an oatmeal cookie, and it was crisp outside, chewy inside, and so good (seriously, what is this recipe)

The Helsinki latte had a rich milk flavor with a sweetness that wasn't overdone, so I kept sipping it without meaning to. Watching the rain outside while eating dessert — this combo somehow worked so well together.

Further inside, there was a poster telling a story about a trip to Helsinki, along with the restroom sign. It's a little strange how even a café can feel this sentimental just by weaving in a story.

Wi-Fi, blankets and other conveniences at Mini Male Yeoksam

Further inside Mini Male Yeoksam there's a Wi-Fi notice posted, and the shelf even has a retro radio and a checkered blanket.

Milk tea Flasche, gift sets and coffee bean packages

At Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch, they make their own Flasche bottled drinks in-house. I ordered a milk tea Flasche to go, and the showcase also had separate tiramisu and New York cheesecake gift sets.

Among the posters on the wall was one introducing the Flasche series, and the line about making them fresh in-house caught my eye, so I ordered one as an extra.

Holding the milk tea Flasche in my hand, the design was genuinely clean. It made me realize how much care goes into even a single bottle. It would make a great gift too. Next, let me show you the showcase.

Here the Flasche drinks were lined up row after row, and they also sell separate gift sets of tiramisu and New York cheesecake!

There was also a shelf for coffee bean packages and souvenirs, and quite a lot of people seemed to be buying them as gifts.

Even the cups have 'helsinki' printed on them, which is such a cute detail..! Is this Korea or Germany (?)

The outdoor seating at Mini Male Yeoksam has strong air conditioning, so you can sit there even on hot days. The whole store is a mix of 4-person and 2-person tables, making it a good spot for Yeoksam office workers to visit after lunch.

Is Mini Male Yeoksam worth a visit? Final verdict

Revisit intent: 2000%..!!! I've added this to my list of cafés to come back to whenever I need a break while working remotely in Yeoksam. Next time I'm going to try the matcha ice cream latte.
