HYROX shoes with sled-push grip: DARIMATI BR-001 pop-up in Pangyo

Lots of you are into hybrid training these days — CrossFit, HYROX, that kind of thing. With so many different movements to cover — lifting, running, rowing, sled pushes — figuring out 'which shoe should I even wear' is always a headache.

Today I'm sharing my visit to and purchase review of the DARIMATI pop-up store — a brand that sold out first in the US and built word of mouth before opening its first pop-up in Korea!

Where is the DARIMATI pop-up store in Pangyo, and how long does it run?

The DARIMATI pop-up store is running in the 4th floor U-PLEX Event Zone at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch. It runs from Monday, September 7 to Sunday, September 20, 2026.

What kind of brand is DARIMATI?

DARIMATI actually started out as a running shoe brand, hitting a 218% funding rate on Kickstarter and earning recognition in the US and Europe first. But it doesn't stop at running — it's built for hybrid training with structural stability and serious grip performance.

Why HYROX athletes filled the DARIMATI pop-up

The choice of CrossFit's No. 1 athlete Su-hyeon Ha! There really were a lot of people at the pop-up who came specifically to try the shoes on ahead of their November HYROX race.

It's optimized for indoor training like F45 or CrossFit — running, lunges, rowing, you name it. It's also famous as the shoe worn by CrossFit's No. 1 athlete Su-hyeon Ha.

DARIMATI apparel, not just the shoes

Besides the shoes, DARIMATI's apparel line was fun to browse too. From a stylish purple/yellow striped t-shirt to a cute dotted t-shirt and ball caps, there were plenty of items good for working out or everyday wear.

Just a note — exchanges/refunds during the pop-up period are only possible within 7 days, with receipt, and only during event hours!

The most popular men's sizes (270–280) were selling out both online and offline — that's how hot the demand was.

How do the DARIMATI BR-001 fit, and how good is the grip?

The DARIMATI BR-001 doesn't let your foot slide at all during strong pushing motions like a sled push. Even at the pop-up, people were saying 'it doesn't slip at all' with genuine surprise.

Even though it's a performance shoe, the color and look seemed fine for everyday wear too.

The shoe was so comfortable and cushiony — I loved it.

The 30-second rowing machine challenge and lucky draw

This rowing machine isn't just for show! There's a '30-second rowing machine challenge' running on-site. Take the challenge, fill out the QR survey, and you get entered into a lucky draw for various prizes, including a pair of BR-001 shoes — definitely worth trying!

Since the brand is known for running and CrossFit shoes, it felt like a lot of the visitors were genuinely into fitness :)

How much is the Chuseok deal at the Pangyo pop-up?

This is the highlight of the whole pop-up! I saw the Chuseok special promotion sign that's only available on-site, and there was no way I wasn't buying.

• Deal 1: BR-001 shoe + cap + shoelace/insole — ₩149,000 (32% off the ₩216,000 list price)
• Deal 2: BR-001 shoe alone — ₩139,000 (22% off the ₩179,000 list price) — plus the shoelace and blue insole are a pop-up-exclusive gift worth ₩27,800!

They also unveiled and opened pre-orders for a new color, the 'BR-001 CORE BLACK' (available up to size 300), and a lighter, more comfortable lace-up model called the 'VT-001'.

Everything, including the cap, came packaged in one box, which was convenient.

The box has a simple logo that gives off a premium feel.

Of course I went for the first ₩149,000 set! My kid held the big gray box with DARIMATI's signature logo printed large on it and posed for a photo.

The staff even gave my kid a cute card with the logo on it~
