HYROX training shoes tried at a Pangyo pop-up: DARIMATI BR-001

Chuseok is coming up soon 🌕 A few days ago I went to Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch to buy a gift for my parents, and I found a light training shoe that's perfect for my dad, whose knees aren't great 💕 Apparently it's the hybrid shoe chosen by Ha Su-hyeon, the #1 CrossFit athlete. I tried it on myself and it was really light and comfortable. Let me introduce it!

DARIMATI BR-001, the HYROX training shoes to know — where is the pop-up?

It's located on the 4th floor of Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch.

This is DARIMATI's BR-001 model. It's been getting attention lately along with HYROX and hybrid training — it already sold out in the US, and this is its first pop-up in Korea, here at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch! A lot of people were coming in to try it on ahead of the HYROX competition in November.

The neutral-tone design is pretty, right? The laces use a toggle system too, so you don't have to tie or untie them — just pull, and it tightens to fit your foot.

Sled, lunges and rowing: how good is the BR-001's grip?

Since HYROX involves not just running but sleds, lunges, rowing and all sorts of movements, a shoe's grip and stability really matter.

They say the BR-001's grip keeps your foot from sliding even during strong pushing movements like a sled push. It's not just a running shoe — apparently it's a hybrid shoe designed with running, pushing and pulling all in mind. It's said to keep your ankle from twisting on uneven ground, too 🙂 It looked great not just for HYROX but for CrossFit, F45 and other indoor training as well!

This Chuseok deal is only available at the pop-up right now!! Isn't that a great price? ₩149,000 including a cap and insoles! I saw a staff member wearing the cap, and it looked cute and comfortable too.

Rowing machine lucky draw and the weekend family sports day

There's also a rowing machine event going on at the Hyundai Pangyo pop-up right now. If you hit 150m for men or 100m for women in 30 seconds, you get a lucky draw entry!! We only won a sticker though, sadly… 🤣 One tip: don't try to pull all the way through each stroke — pull fast and short instead, it racks up more distance! :)

Pre-orders for the next DARIMATI model and size 300

They're also unveiling DARIMATI's next model for the first time at this pop-up and taking pre-orders. A black colorway is coming out too. (Right now black is pre-order only!) Good news for anyone with bigger feet too — sizes go up to 300 😄

I'd recommend it to anyone training, and also as a gift for parents looking for a comfortable shoe! Just a heads-up: sizing runs a bit large!
