A Magok lunch chosen because there's no break time

Early in the morning, I met up with Moya for a revamp and upgrade of her home base. Since I had to focus and finish work in the morning, my meal time ended up awkward, and I wondered where to grab lunch — turns out Oneul Pasta Magok has no break time. Oh! Perfect! That's exactly right for our schedule today! And best of all, it's right up Moya's alley since she likes Western food more than rice dishes!!!!

Oneul Pasta. The sign really stood out so it was super easy to find. To the left of that sign is the parking lot entrance. They also register generous parking time, so you can eat comfortably~~~~~

Going up to the 2nd floor, this gift-like exterior appears.

Mirror photo wall and green plants — the store vibe

Oh my, such a hip mirror photo wall right by the table bar!!!!

The atmosphere was so clean and pretty that I tried to capture it despite my lacking photo skills. The green plant decor added warmth to the white, clean base interior, if that makes sense.

I was thirsty from working hard all morning, so getting a nice cold glass of water full of lemon was a citrusy recharge~~~~~

Order on the tablet, pay on the way out

You order on the tablet at the table and pay when you leave. Zero Pay works too, which was even better. Since the metro-wide Seoul Zero Pay goes on sale from September 14th, it might be worth stocking up in advance.

Clean cutlery and chopstick rests~ ^_^ This was the first time I'd seen chopstick rests with a metal finish — they matched the cutlery so well and were easy to use during the meal.

Unlimited free salad bar — what's included?

Oneul Pasta Magok has an unlimited free salad bar. There are 4 kinds of salad dressing, black olives, onion flakes, croutons, cheese powder, pickles, jalapeños, and lettuce. Not a huge variety, but it covers all the essentials well. I especially love black olives, so having them at the salad bar made me really happy. Black olives are so good~ Moya and I even briefly debated why they're better than green olives... still don't know the answer though.

The wooden salad bowl looks small but holds more than you'd think. I thought I'd need to refill it many times, but two trips were actually enough~

Floor-to-ceiling window view and phone charging service

The refreshing floor-to-ceiling window view is so nice. Seeing windows like this makes me want to come back on a rainy day. But today the weather was so clear, so today's own version of a nice sky view was cool in its own way.

Oh my, a phone charging service! What a nice touch! I wish I had charged mine then... looking back, I regret it. When I headed home at night, I took a transfer instead of my usual bus, and my battery was hanging by a thread, so I was anxious.

There's a free honey pizza review event going on~ We tried the honey pizza too, and with the crispy dough piled high with gorgonzola, it was really delicious. Definitely worth joining~~~

From bushman bread to carbonara

This is the bushman bread. It came out really warm, and spreading butter on it made for a perfect appetizer.

Cheongyang chili aglio e olio — you can choose the spice level

When I heard "cheongyang chili" for the aglio e olio, I got scared and almost didn't order it, but Moya, who handles spicy food well, picked it. Turns out you don't need to worry — you can choose the spice level. There's an option milder than Shin Ramyun, so you can pick to your taste. I really can't handle spicy food, and when Moya chose the Shin-Ramyun-level spice, I was waving my hands going "how are you going to eat that." But when the food came out and I tried it, it was fine. A bit spicy, but milder than Shin Ramyun. ^_^ Shin Ramyun is genuinely painful for me to eat. hahahaha

Carbonara with added bacon

My order, the carbonara~~~~~ I added bacon, and wow, I didn't expect it to come with bacon this properly grilled with a smoky aroma. Rich, creamy pasta definitely needs bacon~

And this plate's vibe. Since I'd done almost manual-labor-level work all morning, I didn't have the energy to lift the plate and check the bottom, and now I regret it. I should have checked what brand the plate was — it's so pretty~~~~~

Mini honey pizza and lemonade

The mini honey pizza is just about this size. So it's a size you can pair with pasta without feeling too full. Small, but the gorgonzola on top wasn't skimped on, so it was really tasty~

Lemonade~ It came in a double-walled cup, so I could enjoy it cold down to the last sip. What I especially love about double-walled cups is that condensation doesn't form from the temperature difference.

The shape of the inner water cup is so pretty too. All the dishware at Oneul Pasta Magok is pretty~ ^_^

Free noodle refills too — a reason to come back

Should I call it the pasta version of a double portion? Noodle refills at Oneul Pasta Magok are free. So if you eat a lot, just check the box when ordering. Unlimited free salad bar plus free extra noodles — Oneul Pasta Magok's taste and vibe are sleek, but the service feels so down-to-earth and generous. ^_^ And the fact that there's no break time is a huge plus for me. Saving this to bring Illang here after school when we come to Magok to see an exhibition!!!!
