Inside the restaurant and the kids' room

The interior is clean and spacious, with no feeling of being cramped at all. The ceilings are high and there are floor-to-ceiling windows, so when I visited for lunch, soft natural light came in and the atmosphere felt bright. Further inside, the self-bar connects naturally to an open kitchen area, so the flow felt smooth.

There's also a small kids' room tucked in one corner, so families visiting with children can get a bit of relaxed eating time!

The self-bar — even tteokbokki is unlimited

The self-bar has side dishes like udon broth, pickled radish, and kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), plus soup, morning bread and even tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) — all unlimited refills.

Tteokbokki goes with everything...! Perfect as a palate cleanser or a side. The morning bread is meant for making your own Tteudon pork cutlet burger. If you want to enjoy your cutlet in a special way, I highly recommend making a burger with the morning bread. There's strawberry jam there too, so it's very versatile.

It really is the best place for a meal out. And even better, prices aren't expensive at all 🙊 Even if you order a lot, the bill won't feel burdensome...! Especially kongguksu is available year-round, so if you're ever suddenly craving it, remember Tteudon!

Today's order 📝 Tteudon sweet potato cheese cutlet + fish cake udon set

This time I ordered the Tteudon sweet potato cheese cutlet and the fish cake udon set. The udon set comes with a mini Tteudon pork cutlet plus a bowl of fish cake udon, and the portion was just right to enjoy both the udon and the cutlet, with the sauce served on the side for dipping so you get that crispy-outside-juicy-inside texture.

Piled high with sweet potato spread: the sweet potato cheese cutlet

The Tteudon sweet potato cheese cutlet is my absolute favorite menu item, ㅠㅠ. Tteudon might be the only place where the sweet potato spread is this generous. No matter how much I eat, the spread just keeps overflowing — pure happiness, max.

When you cut the cutlet in half, the meat and cheese spill out from inside, and even with sauce poured over it, I could still feel the crispiness of the outer layer.

This sweet potato spread really is endless — I could eat it forever, and the portion with the mini cutlet is bigger than it looks ✨

Places that drench their sauce on top often end up soggy, but with one bite of Tteudon, the satisfaction was incredible, and you could really see how generously they use ingredients 🥹 The side salad was also great for a palate cleanser.

How was the fish cake udon?

The udon that came alongside had a deep, savory broth right from the first sip. The udon was filled with two fish cake skewers and long-sliced fish cakes along with the noodles, plus dumplings — visually so filling!

A carbs-and-protein combo, need I say more...💗

The udon noodles absorbed the broth well, so the seasoning was just right, and they didn't get mushy — they stayed nice and chewy 😋 Usually at places where the udon isn't great, the noodles and broth feel disconnected, but here there was none of that feeling 😤

Finishing with ice cream

After finishing the cutlet, I really craved dessert, and to be able to scoop a spoonful of Tteudon ice cream to your liking on the way out — what a nice touch! Thanks to little details like this, it was a truly satisfying meal to end the day with-! And a perfect way to get ready before heading off to watch fireworks 💎
