If you are looking for a hearty, delicious meal near Gangnam Station, I found a restaurant I really want to recommend (๑˙ꄃ˙๑)♡⃛

It is 1992 Deopbap & Jjageuli Gangnam Main Branch!

The clean, hygienic atmosphere was apparent the moment I walked in, and it put me in such a good mood even before the meal.

Ordering at the kiosk is easy, so it is comfortable even for dining alone, and the menu options are so substantial. This time I ordered the seafood ssamjang bibimbap set, which came to ₩29,000 in total.

Along with the basic bibimbap (mixed rice), there were lots of options included, making for a generous tableful.

• Steamed egg
• 1 slice of grilled Spam
• Extra 40g yukhoe (Korean raw beef)
• 350ml pumpkin sikhye (sweet rice drink)
• Mini beef doenjang jjageuli (stew)

It is such a well-rounded meal that you can enjoy it right to the end without getting tired of it ᙏ̤̫͚

I did not have jjageuli as my main, but a note for anyone who does!! Sprinkle seaweed flakes and sesame oil over a bowl of rice, then mix in the jjageuli to your taste. It is the ultimate rice thief.

Seafood ssamjang bibimbap and extras

I stopped by 1992 Deopbap & Jjageuli Gangnam Main Branch while looking for a neat Korean lunch spot to eat alone near Gangnam Station (๑>ᴗ<๑) I heard they had launched an amazing new menu, so I ordered it straight away with high expectations.

After ordering, you listen for your order number and collect it yourself. My main was the seafood ssamjang bibimbap, and it looked incredibly generous and satisfying from the start.

A bowl brimming with fresh vegetables arrives topped generously with the house seafood ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste). Its subtle seafood aroma instantly whets your appetite (✿◠‿◠) Mix it all together and take a big bite, and a salty, deep burst of umami comes through.

The seafood has a lively, chewy texture, becoming nuttier and cleaner-tasting as you chew. The seasoning is not overly intense—just right—and the harmony of rice and ingredients is so appealing.

Adding 40g of yukhoe on top made this the best combination, with the flavor doubled (๑>ᴗ<๑) The fresh, red yukhoe has a springy texture and nutty flavor that blends beautifully with the ssamjang seasoning ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ Its chewy umami feels like it takes the whole bibimbap up a level (๑˙ꄃ˙๑)♡⃛

Add one hot, nicely browned slice of grilled Spam and eat it with the rice—absolute perfection.

It is a perfect match for the savory-sweet, lightly spicy ssamjang bibimbap (✿◠‿◠) The mild and salty flavors spreading through your mouth make it impossible to put down your spoon (๑•͈ᴗ•͈)♡

When the bibimbap seasoning feels a little strong, just take a bite of fluffy steamed egg.

Mix them into rice and you could easily finish a bowl in no time—they are neat, substantial meals (๑˙ꄃ˙๑)♡⃛ The slightly spicy, deeply savory beef brisket broth makes for a wonderfully filling meal (✿◠‿◠)

The interior is also kept comfortable and spotless, making it great for couples or friends, and I think it is an excellent lunch spot for nearby office workers too.
