Sinsa Chinese restaurant B-course with dim sum, chili shrimp: Samsin
In short
Samsin Garosu-gil is a fusion Chinese restaurant near the entrance to Sinsa-dong's Serosu-gil in Gangnam, Seoul. Visiting on a weekend with a friend, the writer sat in the second-floor hall and ordered the ₩35,000 per person B-course, working through crab soup, gonggalppang (hollow fried bread), dim sum, butter-scented tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), chili shrimp, kimchi fried rice and jajangmyeon. The portions were generous enough to leave them full, and next time they want to try the room and order signature dishes à la carte.

I visited "Samsin Garosu-gil" (삼신 가로수길점), a newly opened Chinese restaurant near Sinsa Station :)
On a day when a friend and I finally met up in Garosu-gil after a while, we spent ages deciding where to go. Then I heard about a place that had recently opened, got curious, made a reservation, and went — and it turned out way better than I expected, so I'm leaving this review. It's Samsin Garosu-gil, right at the entrance to Sinsa-dong's Serosu-gil. If you're looking for a Garosu-gil date spot or a Chinese restaurant near Sinsa Station, please read to the end!
3 minutes on foot from Sinsa Station Exit 8, and where to park
It's a 3-minute walk from Sinsa Station Exit 8 toward Garosu-gil, so it's easy to find. I parked at the Singu Elementary School public parking lot and walked over, and the location was very convenient on foot! Valet parking is also available — ₩5,000 for 2 hours.

A space that stood out from the first impression
A stone statue right at the first-floor entrance caught my eye immediately, so I found the place without any trouble. From the moment I opened the door, the interior grabbed my attention. I thought it looked pretty in photos, but seeing it in person it felt even more exotic and upscale. Honestly, I felt like I'd stepped into a Southeast Asian resort. Definitely a great space for photos.

A staff member showed us up to the second floor,

and going up, the space was divided into a hall and rooms.

We sat in the hall this time, and maybe because it was a weekend, there were already quite a lot of guests. Both spaces were appealing enough that I found myself wanting to try dining more privately in a room next time.
Thoughtful service and details
The manager was attentive and kind from start to finish, which made the meal comfortable. When we sat down, the table was already set. Every little detail was impressive. The gold-toned tableware matched the color scheme so well that it felt like being given special treatment. I was reminded again how much satisfaction can come from these small touches.
Flipping through the menu, so many dishes looked delicious that just choosing was fun. Dishes like galbi-jjim jajangmyeon (braised short rib noodles), Tokyo tangsuyuk, and Beijing chicken stood out — fusion Chinese dishes that blend Korean, Chinese, and Japanese flavors — and it made me want to come back and order the signature dishes one by one à la carte next time.
A course meal, the B-course at ₩35,000 per person

We ordered the B-course, priced at ₩35,000 per person. If you want a room, you need to order ₩35,000 or more per person, so ordering the B-course or higher should get you there!

From the crab soup at the start to the final dish of the meal, every course was carefully made and delicious.

Starting with the gonggalppang (hollow fried bread) served as a welcome dish, my anticipation kept building.

Dim sum with the juices still intact
The dim sum arrived, and it was so pretty and the juices were still inside! So satisfying!!

As a dim sum lover, I ate happily.

Butter-scented tangsuyuk and chili shrimp
Tangsuyuk with a butter scent! We took a bite and immediately said it was delicious, eating it together :)

The chili shrimp was crispy, the shrimp were plump, and it's a flavor I keep thinking about!

For the meal course: kimchi fried rice and jajangmyeon
For the meal course, we ordered kimchi fried rice and jajangmyeon, but jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) came out by mistake, so the manager just gave it to us on top, and we enjoyed it. The jajangmyeon noodles were soft and delicious too :)

The portions were generous enough to leave us full, and it was a really satisfying meal. Next time, instead of a course, I think it'd be fun to pick the signature dishes à la carte, one by one.

They also take inquiries for family meetings before marriage, first birthday parties, group dinners, gatherings, and private venue rental, so if you're planning something special, this might be worth keeping in mind. It was a great space both for catching up leisurely with a friend after a while and for a more atmospheric meal on a special occasion. If you're looking for a Garosu-gil date spot, I'd recommend giving Samsin Garosu-gil a try :)
