Lately, I’ve been going on lots of dates timed around oppa’s finishing time at work, so I feel like we’ve been visiting Yeouido restaurants a lot 🐥

Yuk Lab Yeouido in front of Yeouido Station Exit 5
The place we visited this time was Yuk Lab Yeouido. It’s right in front of Exit 5 of Yeouido Station, so it was really easy to find. Location matters more than you’d think when making plans in Yeouido, and being so close to the station makes it perfect for stopping by after work haha.

Dining in a private room
What I loved most was that this Yeouido restaurant is entirely made up of rooms! Each table has its own separated space, so it felt more private than I expected, and it was nice for the two of us to have a quiet meal. It would be good not only for dates but also for work dinners or small gatherings when you want to eat and chat comfortably.
The rooms aren’t 100% soundproof, so be careful talking about work stuff lol.

What’s in the two-person Yuk Lab Set
Ordering is easy on the kiosk in the room, and the set menus are put together well, so choosing wasn’t difficult! We ordered the two-person Yuk Lab Set, a satisfying spread of 120 g galbi meat, 120 g hanger steak, 230 g lamb chops, doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), and cheese.

I liked that we could sample both beef and lamb chops rather than just one cut. Especially when the platter arrived, it looked even better than I expected lol. The thick cuts had such dense marbling that my anticipation was already rising before we even started grilling 🖤

And I loved how quickly the food came out. We went in starving, but we didn’t have to wait long after ordering before we could start grilling haha. The staff recommended eating the galbi meat first, then the hanger steak, then the lamb chops. So we started steadily with the galbi meat!

Charcoal-grilled galbi meat and hanger steak
Once the grill had heated up, we put the meat on one piece at a time, and even the sight of it sizzling away was so good lol. The charcoal grill here was seriously great! The magic of it cooking right away as soon as it hits the grill 🖤

Maybe because of the marbling, the galbi meat became wonderfully juicy when grilled, with a nutty richness that came through the more I chewed. Rather than cooking it too well-done, it was delicious grilled just right—tender with a deep meaty flavor.

The hanger steak felt lighter than the galbi meat, but it’s a cut where that distinctive, intense beef flavor really hits when you bite into it! I like how every cut has a slightly different texture and flavor. And we nibbled on grilled vegetables in between too 🖤 Eating only meat can get a little rich, but grilling onions, mushrooms, and zucchini alongside it made them great accompaniments.

Grill-it-yourself meat, cheese, and doenjang-jjigae
Most of all, we visited with oppa, who is great at grilling meat, so the grill-it-yourself setup was absolutely no problem lol. Since the price is reasonable, you do grill the meat yourself, but while oppa worked hard at the grill, I was in charge of enjoying the food beside him. Cheese comes with the set too, and placing a little on top of the meat adds a nutty, salty flavor for a different feel! The cheese itself was so tasty that we almost ordered more after finishing it.

The doenjang-jjigae was filling too! I liked that the stew we ordered with the meat also came out right away. I’m kind of old-school, so I love eating rice and meat together haha. Put a grilled piece of meat over rice and have a spoonful of doenjang-jjigae—this combination never fails 🖤

For Yeouido dates and small gatherings
We enjoyed several cuts at once in Yeouido for a great value haha. Above all, it’s right in front of Yeouido Station Exit 5, so it’s easy to get to, and the rooms let you dine privately. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a Yeouido Korean barbecue restaurant or beef restaurant 🖤 It’s lovely for a relaxed meat date, and worth keeping in mind if you’re looking for a Yeouido room restaurant for a work dinner or small gathering too!
