Today I want to share my review of a hidden gem in Jeonpo-dong that I recently visited with a friend, Odd Bird Oliver. So many exotic, charming spots have popped up on the Jeonpo café street lately, right? Among them, this was one I'd really wanted to try because of all the word of mouth — and the atmosphere and the food both exceeded my expectations, so I wanted to share it with you quickly.

What the Odd Bird Oliver space and European-style interior look like

Odd Bird Oliver is a European-style brunch restaurant tucked away in an alley of the Jeonpo café street. The warm, tasteful atmosphere hit me the moment I stepped through the door. Wood-toned furniture, sentimental little props, and warm sunlight pouring in through the windows all combined to put me in a good mood the second I walked in.

Every corner showed the owner's careful sense of detail in how the props were arranged, so I couldn't stop taking photos. The lighting is flattering enough that even casual shots turn into great pictures, which made me think this would be perfect for anyone looking for a Jeonpo date spot or a Jeonpo blind date location. It's not overly crowded either — a cozy atmosphere where you can chat comfortably.

What we ordered at Odd Bird Oliver: pasta and a brunch plate

That day at Odd Bird Oliver we ordered the signature pasta together with a brunch dish. We timed our visit for lunch, and the whole restaurant smelled so good that our expectations were already sky-high before we even ordered! After going back and forth on what to have for lunch in Jeonpo, we decided to combine the two.

How the pasta and brunch dishes are plated

The moment the food arrived, everyone let out a little gasp at how pretty the plating was! The colorful ingredients came together beautifully, so it was fun to eat with our eyes first. The photos came out really nicely too.

How the signature pasta at Odd Bird Oliver tastes

This place truly earns its reputation as a Jeonpo pasta spot! The noodles were cooked just right, giving a great texture, and the sauce clung deep into the noodles instead of sitting on top — the first bite made my eyes light up. There was no greasiness at all, just a savory, deep flavor, so I scraped the plate clean down to the last spoonful. I immediately understood why people recommend it as a Seomyeon pasta spot.

How the brunch plate tastes and how filling it is

The fresh ingredients were used generously, giving it a healthy yet substantial feel. The combination of plain bread, a refreshing dressing, and moist ingredients was perfect. It felt like a textbook example of brunch, which gave me the satisfaction of having found a proper Jeonpo brunch spot. The portion was hearty enough to hold its own as a Jeonpo meal spot too.

Is Odd Bird Oliver in Jeonpo worth a visit? Verdict and tips

Odd Bird Oliver didn't fall short anywhere — the taste, the atmosphere, the friendly service. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a good-atmosphere date spot near Seomyeon or Jeonpo-dong, or if you want to enjoy properly good pasta and brunch. It can get busy on weekends or at peak times, so I'd suggest visiting with some time to spare.

I'm planning to come back to work my way through the other menu items! The staff were so kind that I had a good time right up until we finished eating. With delicious food, a sentimental atmosphere, and friendly service all lining up perfectly, I'm planning to revisit soon to try more of the menu.

If you're near Seomyeon or Jeonpo-dong in Busan and want a good meal with friends, or a special Jeonpo date in a place with great atmosphere, don't hesitate — Odd Bird Oliver is well worth a visit. Seats can fill up at peak times, so I'd recommend going with a bit of extra time.
