Weekend evening table-seat ramen date in Euljiro3(sam)-ga: Mentsuru

In short

Mentsuru Euljiro Branch is a ramen restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Euljiro3(sam)-ga Station Exit 9. Reserved for a weekend 5pm visit and seated at a table, the writer ate spicy shoyu ramen and tori paitan, both served surprisingly fast and mild enough to finish the broth. With counter seats for solo diners and tables for groups, it works for a date dinner or an office lunch.

I was in Euljiro for a date in Seoul and stopped by "Mentsuru Euljiro Branch" for dinner ✨ It's a ramen spot known by word of mouth among Euljiro office workers — good prices and genuinely delicious too! Let's get into the review 💕

Weekend 5pm, reserved and seated at a table

The interior isn't huge, but it's centered around counter seats so solo dining works fine, and there are tables further in so groups aren't a problem either 👌 We'd reserved ahead, and they comfortably seated us at a table 😲 We came on a weekend at 5pm and it was packed! Everything from solo diners to groups 🤭

Menu and prices

The menu board at Mentsuru Euljiro Branch! It's kept simple — ramen, soba, rice bowls, and side dishes! Their signature is motsu ramen, a spicy hangover-curing ramen loaded with beef tripe and beef belly. There were plenty of ramen options, and in the end I picked spicy shoyu ramen while my boyfriend went with tori paitan!

Ramen served quickly after ordering

How fast it came out after ordering

The ramen came out really fast after we ordered — for this reason alone I'd strongly recommend it as a lunch spot for office workers! I was genuinely surprised at how quick it was 😲👍 And the presentation was top notch too!

What does the spicy shoyu ramen taste like?

✔️ Spicy shoyu ramen

The spicy shoyu ramen I picked! I love spicy food, so I chose this the second I saw it — a light, clean broth made with clams and chicken, spicy enough to work as a hangover cure too 🔥 Even the color already looked like my kind of spicy before I even tasted it 🎀

It's not just blindly spicy — the broth itself has real depth and richness (honestly, the broth flavor was insane...). Plus there's a generous variety of toppings so every bite is different!

Noodles lifted from the spicy shoyu ramen

There are three slices of sous-vide pork shoulder chashu, tender with no gamey smell, so it pairs well with the noodles 🤤 Sometimes ramen ends up too salty to finish, but Mentsuru's seasoning was just right — easy to eat without any guilt ✌️

How was the tori paitan broth?

✔️ Tori paitan

My boyfriend's order, the tori paitan. A rich ramen made from chicken bones simmered a long time 🍜 The broth looks almost like bone marrow soup — totally the highlight! That milky-white broth looks so good 🤤

The broth has real character, and my boyfriend said it was even better than ramen he'd had in Japan, haha. The broth itself isn't greasy, it's got deep flavor, and it's amazing eaten with the chashu ☺️

In summary

The portions were generous too, so finishing a whole bowl left me completely full 😲 The prices are reasonable so it's easy to eat without worrying about cost, and best of all, it came out so fast 👍

If you're looking for a great lunch spot for Euljiro office workers, I highly recommend Mentsuru Euljiro Branch 👍 It's a ramen place that works whether you're solo or in a group, and since orders come out fast, turnover is really good too! The depth of flavor in the broth itself was genuinely delicious, and the spicy shoyu ramen especially hits the spot for a hangover 😲 The prices are affordable too, so I recommend it as a lunch spot for Euljiro office workers 🤍
