Today I want to introduce a quiet, cozy café with a really good atmosphere. When I went, it was so green and full of sunlight. The desserts were sweet enough to pair perfectly with the coffee, and the vibe was amazing — basically an Instagram-worthy café, haha. This is Café Buajang!

How to get to Café Buajang from Gwangan Station
Café Buajang sits in an alley in Minrak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan. We walked over from Gwangalli Beach, taking in the ocean view along the way, and got there pretty quickly. If you're coming by subway, come out of Gwangan Station Exit 1.

Walking into the alley, there's a huge house. You can see the Café Buajang sign under the pretty trumpet vine flowers. The exterior alone is exactly my kind of café style. The beach is nice, but a café full of green that suits summer, with such a fresh feeling, was so lovely.
Café Buajang is closed every Tuesday, so keep that in mind when you visit.

There's a wide range of coffee/non-coffee/ade/tea and dessert/gelato options, and the iced americano is under ₩5,000! The signature maple cream latte also caught my eye.
What's a maple cream latte? A sweet-and-salty cream latte topped with maple syrup and pink salt.
Gotta order a dessert too! There are cheesecake and tiramisu types, and after some deliberation, I decided to try the refreshing apple mango cheesecake.

What the seating inside Café Buajang is like
The inside of Café Buajang has a big picture window, so you can see the trumpet vines outside, and there are also plants and flowers inside, so it felt like sitting in a park — I thought every seat looked pretty.
The counter seats and other visible spots all have plants, and the interior design was so pretty. The long, trailing moth orchid was so pretty I took a photo — the way it swayed gently in the breeze was lovely.
Across from the counter, there's lemon water ready to go if you want a drink. The lemon flavor wasn't too strong either, so it was easy to drink.
There isn't a single seat without sunlight, which fits perfectly with the Instagram-worthy keyword.
The group table and the attic seats at the back
There's also group seating, so it's no problem coming with a bunch of people. We agonized over where to sit. Then the owner said there were seats further inside too, so we should check those out. So with such a big space already, there's more inside? We went in slowly to look.
Stepping up over the threshold, it felt like walking into a storybook. There's a full-length mirror and cute dolls, so this is a photo zone too!
If the seats near the entrance felt bright and fresh and green, the seats further inside felt like a cozy, snug attic. So we took a seat in the back. There was already someone sitting alone working on their laptop — I imagine you'd be able to focus really well working here.
How the apple mango cheesecake and maple cream latte taste
Our order arrived — iced americano (decaf), maple cream latte, apple mango cheesecake. Taking photos by the window made it even more atmospheric.
Honestly, I thought the plants by the window seat were fake, but they're real...? It seems like every plant, inside and out, is really well cared for. This café's whole space felt so good I didn't want to leave.
The iced americano (decaf) had a nice mild acidity. So I went straight in for a bite of dessert.

The dense cheesecake and the refreshing apple mango on top went so well together, and it paired great with the coffee.
For the maple cream latte, I tasted the cream on its own before mixing it in — so soft. Then I stirred it and drank it, and it really was, exactly as described, a sweet-and-salty cream latte. A can't-fail coffee choice — you have to try it!
Is Café Buajang worth a visit? Final thoughts
Anywhere you go in Gwangalli tends to be crowded, so I prefer quiet, calm spots. I was so happy to find a café this cozy and quiet in Minrak-dong, one that fits the Instagram vibe perfectly. The space felt so good that I didn't want to leave — I wanted to stay longer.
