Minrak-dong café in Busan with private corner seats: Café Buajang
In short
Café Buajang is a plant-filled café in a converted house on an alley near Minrak Elementary School in Minrak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan. Dropping in during a Gwangalli date, the writer ordered a black sesame gelato latte, an iced Americano and chestnut tiramisu, then settled into a tucked-away corner of the sectioned interior that felt genuinely private. For anyone after a café with real atmosphere in Busan, Café Buajang is worth the detour.

Where is Café Buajang, and is there parking?
Café Buajang in Minrak-dong, Busan sits in an alley near Minrak Elementary School. There are plenty of bus stops nearby so it's easy to reach by public transit, but there's also parking for 2-3 cars right in front, so driving works too.

From the entrance, Café Buajang in Minrak-dong, Busan is decked out with grass and plants, giving it such a lush, green feel.

What's on the menu at Café Buajang?
Right when you walk into Café Buajang, there's a counter so you can order immediately. Looking at the menu board, the drink prices were so reasonable I loved it right away. There was everything from coffee to ades, non-coffee teas, and their signature gelato menu, and since it all tastes so good, plenty of people were getting takeout too.

Café Buajang in Minrak-dong also sells a wide range of desserts that go well with drinks. Their tiramisu comes in coffee/banana/oreo/chestnut, and cheesecake comes in berry berry/apple mango. Chestnut tiramisu, banana tiramisu, and berry berry cheesecake are apparently the most popular best-menu items. Everything looked so good I agonized over it for a while haha.

What the inside of Café Buajang feels like
After ordering our desserts and drinks, I looked around the interior — and I'm not just saying this because I always say cafés have good vibes, but this place is genuinely, totally my type of café!
For one, lush plants are placed all over the inside of Café Buajang, which instantly makes your eyes feel refreshed. On top of that, the garden view through the sun-drenched picture windows is really pretty, and the ceilings are so high there's zero cramped feeling — the warm atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to unwind on a lazy afternoon.

There's also a spacious group table right in the center of Café Buajang, so it looked great for group gatherings too.

A converted house with seating split into private zones
The inside of Café Buajang in Minrak-dong, Busan is quite large, and if you go further in, there's even more café space. What's great here is that instead of one big open layout, it seems they converted a house into a café, so the spaces are divided into sections — really nice for enjoying the café privately.

There are windows scattered throughout in particular, so there's no stuffy feeling and it's great for admiring the greenery too.

Going further inside, you find these cutely decorated spaces, and there's even more space beyond that.

The inner space is just as spacious as the outer area, but with a cozier vibe — big plants and cute little props are placed everywhere, so it's a treat for the eyes.

We love this kind of tucked-away corner spot, so that's what we picked!! Each section has such a different feel that you can pick a spot that suits your own taste, which I really loved haha.

There's also a variety of tables and chairs, so you can pick whichever seat feels most comfortable to you — another huge plus haha!!
How the black sesame gelato latte and chestnut tiramisu taste
Iced Americano / Black sesame gelato latte / Chestnut tiramisu

The black sesame gelato latte I really wanted to try when coming to Café Buajang haha! I always drink lattes because I love them so much, but I also love gelato, so it felt like everything I love was in one drink haha. My husband got his usual iced Americano haha.

It's so cute I felt bad eating it, but the moment I took a bite, it disappeared in my mouth like a miracle — the black sesame gelato latte hahahahaha.

The nuttiness of the black sesame gelato fills your mouth, and it pairs amazingly with the slightly bitter espresso — seriously so good haha!

Café Buajang's coffee tastes as good as its atmosphere. The iced Americano has just the right nutty flavor too — so delicious.

This was my first time trying chestnut tiramisu, and the soft sponge with the chestnut-flavored cream was so good. If you want to visit a café with great atmosphere, I highly recommend Café Buajang in Minrak-dong, Busan.
