The pepperoni pizza my son had been asking for all week

These days my son says "I want pepperoni pizza!" and I think that's the end of it, but no — he kept it up for days straight, haha. We happened to be out at Daecheon Beach that day, so I looked for a good pizza place nearby and found this spot! It's Daecheon Brewery Craft Beer Brewery & Pizza Pub.

I found it while searching for good food near Daecheon Beach, and it turns out they run their own craft beer brewery alongside the pizza pub. Menu selection duties went to my son today, haha.

Turns out it's won awards and even been on TV! 👏

"Mom, doesn't this look like Hawaii?!" "You've never even been to Hawaii, how would you know, haha" "I saw it on TV" haha — then he struck a pose. Guess he's picked up something from somewhere, haha. (We agreed we'd actually go to Hawaii someday — I've also only seen it on TV, 🤣 haha.) True to its name, Daecheon Brewery has its own in-house craft beer brewery.

So the vibe was a bit different from your usual pizza place. You can enjoy pizza and craft beer together, which makes it a nice casual spot for drinks with friends, or even a decent date spot.

Especially if you're at Daecheon Beach and want something different from seafood or grilled clams, this is the spot!

Pepperoni pizza, chewy from the crust up

The pepperoni pizza — the whole reason we came today! My son had been singing about this menu item for days, so I found myself getting excited too, haha. The moment the piping hot pizza arrived, my son's eyes lit right up.

I guess waiting for something you really want to eat is happy time too. Baked in a wood-fired oven, the crust was nutty and chewy, and the salty pepperoni paired perfectly with the beer! If you're visiting with kids, ordering one pizza to share works great too — a solid choice for a family meal out.

We came with our kid, but looking at the vibe of the place, I could totally see couples coming here for pizza and a craft beer together. We came for the pizza, but Daecheon Brewery's craft beer is not to be missed! I ordered the Boryeong Mud Lager, and my husband — who had to drive — got a non-alcoholic beer. I got to enjoy a nice cold craft beer while he could still join the mood with a non-alcoholic option. 🍺

Especially when you're out with kids, someone always has to drive, so having a non-alcoholic option on the menu was a thoughtful touch. Thanks to that, nobody had to just sit there and watch (?) — we could all cheers together! 😂

And there was one more thing I'd been looking forward to: pineapple sorbet 🍍. I was hoping to finish off the pizza and beer with something refreshing, but... sold out! Ugh, so disappointing. Next time, I'm definitely getting that pineapple sorbet. One more reason to come back to Daecheon Brewery. 😂

Whenever I come to Daecheon I always think seafood first, but trying the pizza-and-craft-beer combo this time turned out to be quite good. The reason we came this time was really simple — one line from my son: "I want pepperoni pizza." Haha. But thanks to that, I discovered a hot spot in Daecheon where you can enjoy both a craft beer brewery and pizza together.
