Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a go-to spot for family gatherings in Nowon. My partner and I have pretty different food tastes — I'm all about raw fish and seafood, while my partner wants meat, meat, meat(...). It's hard to unify two picky palates sometimes, and that's exactly when a premium sushi buffet comes in clutch! Actually, calling it a 'sushi buffet' undersells it now — it's evolved into a full all-rounder buffet covering everything from live cooking to land, sea, and air. I went to check out Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch.
I knew the menu was varied, but it's kept improving day by day — now there's barely a dish worth skipping, with generous and diverse food each showing off its own charm. Let's see how it went.
Where is Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, and what are the hours and parking?
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is on the 6th floor of Seoul Onchun Building, 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul, not far from Hagye Station. Hours are Mon–Fri 11:00–21:30 (last order 20:00), Sat–Sun 11:00–22:00 (last order 20:30), and parking is free for 2 hours at Seoul Onchun Building.

Taking the elevator up brought us straight to today's restaurant, Kuu Kuu.

Not the sparkling kind — real draft beer was running as a free event for Naver review writers, and the new menu item, unlimited raw salmon sashimi, was also on offer!

Inside the 300-pyeong buffet: private rooms and a kids' cafe
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch spans 300 pyeong with rooms that can seat 50, 80, and up to 300 people. The white-toned rooms with natural wood accents gave off a clean, comfortable feel.

Beyond the impressive scale of the venue, the spacious rooms make it perfect for office dinners or year-end parties, and the sectioned-off spaces are also plenty private for a family-only meal.

A kids' café and easy parking — both essential for family gatherings — made this place a solid pick for family meals.

Here's the menu — we visited for weekend lunch, at the weekend/holiday rate of ₩35,900 × 2 people.
Meat and made-to-order dishes: lamb chops, grilled duck, soup en croute
The lamb chops, a Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch specialty, had seasoning that worked perfectly and stayed so moist I went back for seconds and thirds. As always with a buffet, you've got to do a lap first to plan your route and what to eat — shall we take a look together?
Wait, isn't Kuu Kuu a sushi buffet?! Not even close! This is a premium buffet covering land, sea, and air — sushi is just one piece of what Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch does well. There's a huge range of meat dishes and live cooking to suit my partner's taste, plus a surprisingly wide variety of salads.

The lamb chops, Kuu Kuu's specialty, had such perfectly matched seasoning and stayed so moist that I kept going back for more, and the grilled duck was crisp outside, juicy inside — a pleasure to eat.

The ankreme soup, topped with a pastry like a pie crust, was warm and nice to have before the meal, and there were plenty of side dishes that older family members would love — something to satisfy the whole family and any coworkers along too.

How good is the fresh salmon sashimi and sushi at Kuu Kuu?
Moving into the premium sushi and seafood section Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is originally known for, there was a huge variety of rolls and sushi prepared, and the raw salmon sashimi was rich and savory with zero fishy taste — genuinely popular and delicious. I'd recommend eating plenty of it.

The halibut and salmon nigiri were on a completely different level from sushi buffets that fill you up with rice — here the fish was generous and the rice minimal, giving a satisfying, chunky bite. The shrimp sushi used marble shrimp, sweet and plump in texture.

Desserts and drinks included in the Kuu Kuu buffet price
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch includes desserts, fruit, drinks, and tea all in the buffet price, so you can wrap up the whole meal right there — which actually makes it great value.
And marble ice cream plus regular ice cream too!!! There's no skipping that. Now that we've done a full lap, let's get into the photos of what we actually ate.
The order we actually ate at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch
We started off light with sushi and meat(?), then moved on to raw salmon, shrimp dishes, and more sushi, all thoroughly delicious.
The sushi had generous fish and small portions of rice, so it wasn't just about filling up — it let you focus on flavor, which I loved. The live-cooked dishes were all winners too, genuinely tasty.
We wrapped up with fruit, crepe cake, and coffee for a little dessert time, all handled right there at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch. And the finishing touch that brings back childhood memories — the marble ice cream — was a delicious way to end!!!
Is Kuu Kuu Nowon worth it for a family meal or work dinner?
I visited Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a go-to spot for family gatherings in Nowon. I went in with the preconception that it was 'just a sushi buffet,' but nope — the live-cooked and meat dishes came out hot and with impressive quality, and honestly this was the most satisfying buffet I've had recently (including wedding buffets).
I could really feel how much Kuu Kuu has developed since I last remembered it! With spacious seating, a clean interior, and flavors that suit family and coworkers alike, this is a restaurant everyone can enjoy — how about Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch for your next office dinner or family gathering?! I'm confident it'll be a premium buffet that satisfies everyone!!!
