Busanjin curry restaurant with frozen curry delivery: Sarugak20

I really love curry in general, so when I heard there was a good curry place in Jeonpo, I jumped at the chance to check it out 💨

Where is Sarugak20 and what are its hours?

Sarugak20 is at 78 Seojeon-ro 68beon-gil B1, Busanjin-gu, Busan, just 210m from Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station. It's open Tue–Sun 09:30–19:30 with last order at 19:00, closed Mondays.

Apparently "Sarugak20" is the second branch of Moru Sikdang (모루식당)‼️ The owner who used to run the well-known Moru Sikdang closed it and opened this new place haha

Inside the basement space and seating at Sarugak20

Even though it's a basement space, it was way bigger and more pleasant than I expected. It didn't feel like a basement at all — spacious and comfortable, which I really liked!

The seating ranges from window bar seats to 2-seat and 4-seat tables, plus a group table that comfortably fits 6 people‼️ There are also cozy floor-seating tables, so you can enjoy the space however you like 🤎 I came alone and sat at the bar table, taking my time to soak in the atmosphere ☺️ The owner decorated the whole place in a charming, antique style — it genuinely felt like stepping into a Japanese home‼️

Even the handwashing area was this aesthetic…🤍 They'd carefully set out a nice hand cream too. Little touches like that meant a lot to me. That kind of sense and thoughtfulness is just the best…👍🏻

The self bar had both still water and lime water 🍋🍈

Half-and-half curry: cream curry and beef curry in one bowl

I went with the half-and-half curry 🍛 It's a dish where you get to taste both cream curry and beef curry at once — two flavors in one curry, and it looked delicious from the moment it landed on the table 🤤

The cream curry was soft with a mellow, savory flavor, while the beef curry had a rich, deep curry taste — the two complemented each other really well!! If you want to enjoy both flavors, I highly recommend this. It's a menu item that's hard to mess up 👀

I also liked that you can add all kinds of toppings depending on your taste 🍛✨ From scramble, poached egg, and sausage to sweet potato cheese croquette, shrimp tempura, tonkatsu, and karaage — so much fun picking and choosing! Try adding your favorite toppings to build your own curry 😋

I felt like curry alone wasn't enough, so I also ordered the sweet potato cheese croquettes, and honestly, these were incredible‼️‼️ One bite in and you could tell it was packed with sweet potato and cheese — super satisfying 👍🏻

And the outside was so crispy… seriously crunchy and delicious 👏🏻👏🏻 Can you tell how crispy it is just from the photo? 🤭 The sweetness of the sweet potato paired with the savory, chewy cheese made for a really great combo. On top of that, the price was reasonable too, so it's great value overall! If you love sweet potato and cheese, I highly recommend trying this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Frozen curry takeout and courier delivery from Sarugak20

You can also order frozen curry separately to take home! It's an easy way to enjoy good curry at home, which is amazing news for anyone living alone 🤎

On top of that, courier delivery is available too‼️ Being able to eat well here in the shop and also enjoy it comfortably at home later — that's such a nice bonus 📦

Why Sarugak20 works for a solo meal in Jeonpo

It was such a nice place to visit alone 🤍 Even before the food arrived, it was fun browsing all the little props and items around the shop, so waiting never felt boring! The place itself was decorated so charmingly that just looking around was enjoyable, and the atmosphere made it perfect for spending some relaxed time by myself :)

I was really sad when Moru Sikdang closed down, so I was so happy to get to meet it again as Sarugak20 🤩

Above all, the space is much bigger than before, and the whole atmosphere has shifted into something warmer and cozier, which I liked even more.

It's a place where you can dine solo without any pressure, but it's also perfect for a date or a casual meal with someone.

And of course, the curry itself was still delicious! If you're looking for good curry in Jeonpo, definitely give this place a visit 😊👏🏻 Great atmosphere, great curry — I left feeling very satisfied :)
