Geumjeong sushi restaurant for white fish sushi: Moshi Moshi
In short
Moshi Moshi PNU Branch is a sushi restaurant in Geumjeong, Busan, near Pusan National University and NC Department Store. On my latest repeat visit, we had sushi and soba platters, 10 pieces of white fish sushi, and inari sushi; my child happily finished inari and extra egg sushi too. Moshi Moshi PNU Branch makes for a satisfying, easygoing meal with plenty of variety.

Whenever I’m craving sushi near Pusan National University, there’s one place I naturally head to. This time, too, I went back for my umpteenth visit to the sushi specialist Moshi Moshi PNU Branch (모시모시 부산대점). It isn’t somewhere I visited once or twice and forgot about—I keep coming back whenever it comes to mind, so I visited with confidence again this time :-)
Moshi Moshi near Pusan National University NC Department Store

Moshi Moshi is a sushi specialist near the NC Department Store by Pusan National University. It has been operating from this very spot for a full 15 years, so it has clearly been loved consistently for a long time.

The wood interior gives it a warm, cozy feel. The tables are generously spaced, making it comfortable for a meal. Since I’ve been visiting for so long, it has a sense of history that makes it feel especially dear to me.

The kitchen is open, so you can naturally watch the food being prepared, which makes me trust it even more.
A menu ranging from sushi to full meals

They sell a wide range of dishes, from sushi and individual items to full meals and sides. Along with sushi, there is sashimi and à la carte food, so it works well for a meal—and for a drink in the evening, too. They also have pork cutlet sets and sushi sets for children.

We ordered the sushi platter, soba sushi platter, 10 pieces of white fish sushi, and inari sushi!
Our order, filling the whole table

All the dishes arrived together and filled the table, looking abundant and delicious before we had even started eating.
Sushi platter with udon and tempura

🍱 Sushi Platter 🍱 The sushi platter comes with 8 pieces of sushi, 3 pieces of tempura, udon, vegetable salad, and tofu salad. It is generous because it includes not only sushi, but tempura, udon, and salads as well.

With warm udon and crisp tempura alongside it, it felt even more substantial as a full meal than sushi alone 👍 It includes a range of sushi—white fish, salmon, shrimp, tuna, and more—so it was lots of fun choosing one of each kind.

The salmon sushi, topped with a thick slice, was soft and richly savory. The white fish sushi was mild with an outstanding pleasantly chewy texture. The vividly red tuna sushi and fresh shrimp sushi both practically melted in my mouth~ The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors truly came through.

A soba platter perfect for a hot day
🍱 Soba Platter 🍱 The soba platter includes 6 pieces of sushi, soba, vegetable salad, and tofu salad, and I loved having cool soba alongside it. Sushi and soba need no further explanation, right! The soba had its characteristic mild, chewy noodles in a cool broth, making it very clean and refreshing. The weather was unbelievably hot that day, and it totally chased the heat away.

Thick-cut white fish sushi and a meal for my child
🍱 White Fish Sushi 🍱 The appeal of this white fish sushi is its mild flavor. It was topped with a thick slice of sashimi, so every bite brought out the fish’s chewy texture beautifully.

The belly portion in particular was softer and more savory than regular white fish, and it was so delicious. Refined fish belly is always a yes~😘

Our little number-one cutie at home, who loves inari sushi (sweet fried tofu sushi), naturally finished it in no time 💓 Then they asked for more egg sushi, so I ordered that separately too.

They said it was delicious and ate so well 😋
A meal that lets you enjoy a little of everything
The set meals are varied and thoughtfully put together, so I loved being able to try a bit of everything. The main attraction—the sushi—was especially delicious because the ingredients were fresh and the textures were really enjoyable. Moshi Moshi is filling yet easy to enjoy for a meal, and I’ll be back again next time :-)
