Sangwangsimni hair salon cut and treatment: Urban Ground Hair
In short
Urban Ground Hair Sangwangsimni Station Branch is a hair salon directly outside Exit 4 of Sangwangsimni Station in Seongdong, Seoul. I had over 10 cm cut from my naturally wavy, permed hair and received a Nanoheel Premium Clinic; it felt lighter and softer afterward, though I have not yet confirmed how long the results last.

How do you get there from Sangwangsimni Station?
My naturally wavy hair gets frizzier in humid weather, so I went to Urban Ground Hair Sangwangsimni Station Branch (어반그라운드헤어 상왕십리역점) for a cut and treatment. I wanted to tidy up the ends damaged by a perm.

The salon is directly outside Exit 4 of Sangwangsimni Station on Line 2, across from Centras Apartments. The address is 353 Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea, VIP Building 2F. I took the elevator up, waited in the space with floor-to-ceiling windows, and was then shown in.

I booked the treatment and cut in advance through Naver. At the time of the original post, the salon was open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday and from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sundays, and was closed every Monday.
What were the interior and waiting area like?
The interior was more spacious than I expected, with a long row of chairs on each side.

What was my hair like before the treatment?
My hair reached below my chest, and the ends were quite damaged from a previous perm. It is thick and naturally wavy, so it also looked untidy overall. Among several treatment options, I chose the Nanoheel Premium Clinic, and we decided to start with the cut.

What was the order of the cut and treatment?
Before the treatment began, they prepared a drink for me, and I chose a cold peach iced tea.

I arrived sweaty, so they also prepared a fan. Drinking the iced tea and sitting in the breeze cooled me down quickly.

Because I thought it would be difficult to visit a salon for a while after giving birth, I cut over 10 cm off my hair. After the cut, I had my hair shampooed and began the treatment. It was a four-step process that included hydration, oil coating, and protein setting.

The stylist applied the treatment product carefully. As I was pregnant at the time, they kept checking whether I was uncomfortable, which made me feel looked after. The time passed quickly as we chatted calmly during the treatment.

As the treatment progressed, my hair began to feel softer.

What was the final hair spa like?
For the final step, I had a hair spa while receiving a massage in a massage chair. My body felt stiff, but the medium-strength massage was refreshing. It was so comfortable that I wanted to lie there a little longer.

After the treatment, they trimmed my hair once more and gave it a light blow-dry.
What changed right after the cut and treatment?
With over 10 cm removed and a lot of the thickness thinned out, my hair looked much neater and felt lighter.

My hair felt softer, and right after the treatment it also seemed firmer and more resilient. However, I was told that it could feel heavy for a few days.
I was told the results last a long time, but I have not yet been able to confirm how long they actually last. On this visit, I was pleased with the lightness after the cut, the softer texture, and the attentive service during the treatment.
