Seongdong café with music and cheesecake: Nerdy Blue Burrow
In short
Nerdy Blue Burrow is a small café tucked into an alley about four minutes from Wangsimni Station Exit 9 in Seongdong, Seoul. I tried Berry Happy, the coffee of the month, fresh cheesecake, and a financier, and found its dim lighting and music a comfortable setting for a conversation after a meal.

After finishing a meal in Wangsimni, I was looking for somewhere to have coffee and talk, so I stopped by Nerdy Blue Burrow (너디블루 버로우). Tucked into an alley one block off the main road, it felt like finding a hideout.

How do I get there from Wangsimni Station, and where can I park?
I walked for about four minutes from Wangsimni Station Exit 9 toward Sowol Art Hall. Just before Sowol Art Hall, head slightly down into the alley to find the café.

If visiting by car, I heard you can use the Sowol Art Hall Public Parking Lot, which is connected by stairs. The original post lists the first 30 minutes as free, then ₩1,000 per 30 minutes, followed by ₩500 per 10 minutes, but it is unclear when the rate changes, so the parking fee needs to be confirmed.

What is the interior like?
The blue exterior caught my eye first. It was also marked as a café where pets are welcome.

Inside, the low lighting made the space cozy and calm. The music suited my taste too, so I felt good from the moment I walked in.

True to its description as a house café to enjoy comfortably without pressure, it felt warm throughout my visit.

It was also fun to look at the small decorative objects placed around the space.

Photos, posters, and notes covered the walls. I heard that the playlist filling the space changes every month.

The table lamps and vintage furniture also suited the atmosphere well.

The space was compact. There was plenty to look around at, so even while talking, I naturally found myself taking in my surroundings.

What drinks and desserts did I order, and how much were they?

That day, I ordered two drinks and two desserts. Berry Happy was ₩6,900, and the iced coffee of the month was ₩6,000. The fresh cheesecake was ₩6,900, and the classic financier was ₩4,500.

What did Berry Happy and the coffee of the month taste like?
Berry Happy is a drink made with house-made raspberry syrup and milk. Its tangy sweetness was balanced by the softness of the milk. Its red color in the cup bearing the Nerdy Blue logo was memorable too.

The coffee of the month is specialty brewed coffee made with beans selected each month. The coffee I had was clean without any muddiness, and I could fully taste the character of the beans.

What were the cheesecake and financier like?
The fresh cheesecake paired a dense Basque cheesecake with soft cream cheese on top. It had a smoky note and rich cheese flavor, while the pretzel and sliced almonds added texture.

The classic financier had the flavor of gourmet butter and a subtle mocha aroma. It was crisp outside and moist inside, making it a good match for the clean coffee.

Can I also have alcohol besides coffee?
I had coffee and dessert this time, but I heard they also serve highballs, cocktails, beer, and simple snacks. I was told alcohol can be ordered during the day as well. Since I did not experience the evening atmosphere myself, I would like to return for a highball after dark next time.
The café also had information about the Nerdy Blue Friends membership, which you join by adding them on KakaoTalk. The notice at the time listed benefits including one free cold brew each month, drink size upgrades, and opportunities to collect merchandise.
What stayed with me were the low lighting, music, and sweet desserts. It was a good place to rest and talk comfortably after a meal.
